Abstract: A safety helmet (100) includes a helmet shell (7), with a bearing support structure (2, 5, 9, 21), with a helmet-side coupling point and with a module adapter (1). The bearing support structure (2, 5, 9, 21) is fastened to the helmet shell (7) on an inside. A helmet-side adapter coupling point of the module adapter (1) can be connected detachably to the safety helmet-side adapter coupling point of the module adapter (1). The module adapter (1) holds a module at the safety helmet (100). A process for fastening a module detachably to a safety helmet (100).

Abstract: The present disclosure provides sports apparatus including sports headwear and an impact detection arrangement for coupling to the sports headwear, e.g. a rugby scrum cap, to be worn by a user. The arrangement has a sensor for detecting an indication of an acceleration change experienced by the user's head when the sports headwear is being worn. The arrangement also has a visual indicator, e.g. an arrangement of LEDs, to provide a visual indication when the detected acceleration change exceeds a threshold. Advantageously, the present disclosure allows for immediate attention to be drawn to a player who has experienced a high g-force to their head, and therefore immediately alerts anyone in the vicinity that a medical check is needed to assess symptoms caused by the impact.

Abstract: A hard hat configured to support an AR/VR headset or goggles and associated components is provided. The hard hat does not include a front brim allowing for appropriate positioning of the AR/VR goggles relative to the hard hat. A hinged bracket is coupled to the hard hat and the AR/VR goggles to allow for movement of the AR/VR goggles. The AR/VR goggles are moveable between an in use position in which the goggles are positioned in front of a user's face and a storage position in which the goggles are positioned above or away from the user's face.

Abstract: A system for monitoring a physiological parameter of player wearing protective sports equipment. The monitoring system includes a monitoring unit configured to be positioned within a piece of protective sports equipment worn by a player and transmit physiological parameter data to a database. A database is configured to receive and store the transmitted physiological parameter data. A server is configured to automatically generate a report after a predetermined time interval, where the report has at least one training opportunity indicator and a portion of the received and stored physiological parameter data. The training opportunity indicator is generated when the transmitted physiological parameter data exceeds a predetermined threshold that is based on a previously recorded collection of physiological parameter data. That physiological parameter data can be: the player's own historical data, a team's historical data, a sum of alertable impacts from other similarly situated players, and/or a sum of alertable impacts the player has received over the alertable time period.
