    Abstract: A combined shoe and orthotic support including a bracing assembly, a closing assembly and a protective assembly. The bracing assembly includes a back side support, a left rigid brace, a right rigid brace, and a tongue that are adapted to surround the user's ankle to provide support against ankle issues such as sprains, fractures or the like. The plurality of straps included in the closing assembly allows the user to adjust the bracing assembly around the ankle with a predetermined adjustment. The front side support and the closing assembly further includes laces and a zipper, wherein the laces allow the present invention to be adjusted around the foot and the zipper allows the front side support to be widely opened, allowing the user's foot to be placed in and out of the shoe with ease.

    Abstract: A footwear article configured to accommodate an orthotic device. The footwear article includes a sole and a body. The sole and body extend around and form an interior space sized to receive the user's foot and the orthotic device. The body includes an elastic section configured to expand when the footwear article is worn by the user to increase the size of the interior space to accommodate the user's foot and the orthotic device. The stretching action further applies a force on the user's foot to maintain the position of the orthotic device relative to the foot.

    Abstract: A shoe, particularly a high-heeled shoe, containing a convex midfoot support structure formed of a cushioning material that is sized and shaped to have a height (h1) sufficient to contact and to support at least a portion of the midfoot area of the wearer's foot. The midfoot support may be constructed of an elastomeric material with a maximum thickness of between 10 mm and 22 mm, and includes a support platform and side walls.     Abstract: A foot prosthetic having a pressure relieving, weight distribution pad having a convex surface and a concave surface. The pad includes a central portion having a maximum thickness, the pad gradually tapering from the central portion to an outer peripheral edge thereof, the pad providing a cushioning for the foot. An adhesive layer is formed on the concave surface. During use, the concave surface is affixed to a selected portion of the user's foot thus conforming to the unique shape of the selected portion of the user's foot. The gradual tapering provides a smooth transition being formed between the pad and the user's foot at the outer peripheral edge.

    Abstract: An adjustable corrective shoe component is provided. The shoe component can be disposed in an inner lining of a shoe. The shoe component may include a shell formed conformal to an interior bottom surface of the shoe and curving upwards at sides of the shoe. The shell may include a forefoot section to accommodate a forefoot area of a foot, a middle section to accommodate a midfoot area of the foot, and a hind section to accommodate a hind area of the foot. The shoe component may include a strap attached to a medial side of the middle section and configured to pull the middle section towards a lateral side of the shoe to cause the middle section to support an arch of the foot.

    Abstract: An improved sandal with several orthotic benefits is provided. The sandal has a unique combination of features what will be useful for the treatment and prevention of plantar fasciitis. The improved sandal has a medial split in the medial heel section of the sole. The medial split is designed so that it absorbs more energy than the other parts of the heel and promotes a lateral to medial rotation of the heel portion during the wearer's gait. In a preferred embodiment, the sandal will include a rocker bottom sole and raised bed for the big toe that begins its rise at the metatarsophalangeal joint. In an additional preferred embodiment, the sole of the sandal will also include a metatarsal bar that supports the traverse arch and an upward bend that begins to rise from the sole at a point just forward of the end of the medial split and intersects with the metatarsal bar.
