摘要： A parasol opening device is incorporated in a parasol for opening/closing a canopy of the parasol. The parasol includes a tubular post for movably receiving the parasol opening device therein. The parasol opening device is movable along the post between an open position and a closed position. A canopy support arm has a first end pivotally attached to the parasol opening device and a second end to which a canopy system is pivoted. A link has a first end pivoted to the post and a second end pivotally attached to a slide which is movable along the arm. A rope having a predetermined and fixed length partially extends through the post, the parasol opening device and the arm with a first end of the rope fixed to the post and a second end of the rope attached to a runner of the canopy system whereby driving the rope causes the canopy system to open/close. The parasol opening device includes a movement control device for guiding/controlling the parasol opening device to move along the post between the open position and the closed position and thus driving the rope to open/close the canopy system.

摘要： A simple hanging parasol includes a hanging shank, and a parasol body combined beside the shank. The shank has a fix base fixed on top, a slide sleeve fitting movably around the shank. The parasol body has a plurality of ribs, a plurality of spreaders, a canopy, an upper ring, a lower ring, and an elastic pulling member. The ribs have inner ends pivotally connected radially with the upper ring located at the center of the canopy and one outer end pivotally connected with the slide sleeve. The lower ring has a tubular member to fit with a conical insert rod of the upper ring to keep the ribs expanded to support the canopy in expanding the parasol, and to separate from the insert rod in collapsing the parasol to lie along beside the shank. The pulling member pulls the lower ring to let the tubular member of the lower ring automatically fit with the insert rod of the upper ring in expanding the parasol.

摘要： The present invention provides a small umbrella (“Beerbrella”) which may be removably attached to a beverage container in order to shade the beverage container from the direct rays of the sun. The apparatus comprises a small umbrella approximately five to seven inches in diameter, although other appropriate sizes may be used within the spirit and scope of the present invention. Suitable advertising and/or logos may be applied to the umbrella surface for promotional purposes. The umbrella may be attached to the beverage container by any one of a number of means, including clip, strap, cup, foam insulator, or as a coaster or the like. The umbrella shaft may be provided with a pivot to allow the umbrella to be suitably angled to shield the sun or for aesthetic purposes. In one embodiment, a pivot joint and counterweight may be provided to allow the umbrella to pivot out of the way when the user drinks from the container.

It also has a decentral pole (1) standing outside the shade. One of the shade ribs is vertically displaceably attached to pole (1) by its outer end, and functions as a side arm (2). On its top side, it is connected to pole tip (11) via an articulated rib (4), with this shade rib (2) having a pivot joint (13) between the edge of the shade fabric and the pole. Articulated rib (4) is connected to shade rib (2) via a pivot hinge (12). Shade rib (2) can therefore be pivoted around the axis between pivot joint (13) and pivot hinge (12) so that the entire shade can be tilted sideways in relation to pole (1).
