摘要： A heatable hair crimper has a hollow handle and a comb formed of metallic prongs in rows and columns. Alternate rows are mounted to a metal base plate heated by a pad. When a plunger is squeezed the plate is moved so that hair extending across the comb in the columns is formed and held in tortuous paths while heat is applied via the prongs. Jointed levers are disposed within the hollow handle and are straightened by squeezing action on the plunger.

摘要： A device for waving a tress of hair comprises a length of extendible tube formed of elastic material. The tube is provided at each end with gripping means to secure the ends of the tube to the tress of hair. A method of waving a tress of hair comprises the steps of inserting the tress of hair (14) into the elastic tube (11), securing one end of the tube to the tress of hair, extending the tube lengthwise and securing the opposite end thereof to the tress of hair. When the elastic tube is released, the tress of hair contained therein is caused to assume a sinuous waved form. The tress of hair is treated with a chemical substance either prior to insertion in the tube or when in the tube to cause the tress of hair to retain its waved form.

摘要： This device comprises a flat base member having slots therein, grooved hair wave guide members adjustable in the slots and a rack and pinion mechanism for adjusting the hair wave guide members to place the wave in the hair held clamped over the members and to comb teeth by a spring finger clamp. This clamp has three fingers extending along the sides of the base member and in between the base member is a finger which has a series of holes for accommodating the combed teeth located a central intermediate portion of the base member lying between the opposite sides of the slots thereof and between the grooved guide members. After the hair strands have been clamped over the hair guide members ends can be rolled up on a curler supported on wire supports to the base and in such a manner that the curler can be pivoted. In this manner the hair strands are provided with a wave intermediate the length of the hair and with curls in the ends of the hair at the same time. The hair after being shampooed and washed and with set lotion applied to the hair, will be provided with the device and after a sufficient drying time a permanent set will have been given to the hair.
