At a distal end of the shaft there is an assembly of bristles that are adapted to rotate with the shaft. The bristles engage the sole of a shoe. The bristles preferably include Nylon® or a polyester. They are flexible and tend to sweep away debris from between for example golf shoe cleats, rather than scratch or abrade the soles of the golf shoes.
