摘要: A dispenser for dispensing a selected volume of water at a specified temperature. The dispenser includes a source of water at an elevated temperature and a source of water at a lower temperature. An electronic controller determines the volume of water needed from each source in order to arrive at the selected volume and temperature. The dispenser uses a recirculation valve to circulate at least the elevated temperature water in the tank and in the outlet in order to ensure the temperature of the water is as expected throughout the system to achieve the specified temperature.

摘要: A system for beverage cartridge preparation allows users to self-select, self-fill, and self-seal single use beverage cartridges for convenience. A frame assembly supports a cartridge handling system and a cartridge filling system. The cartridge filling system includes a fillable container and a portion dispensing system. The cartridge handling system includes a movement guide system moving the beverage cartridges, a sealing system for sealing the beverage cartridges after filling, and a motion system for actuating the cartridge handling system, the portion dispensing system, and the sealing system. The movement system includes mobility relative to operative members of the filling and handling systems and one or more single use beverage cartridges. Adaptive cartridge shapes and components are provided to fit a particular preparation system.

摘要: An apparatus pertains to a product preparation featuring a permeable body comprising an extraction chamber(s), along with a flexible, free-motion mechanism structure appropriately coupled to the body. The apparatus is equipped with a sealing mechanism at an opening, allowing for the insertion of a predetermined portion of ingredients. In some embodiments, to enhance filtration, a sleeve filter may be inserted within the container. When the container is submerged in a vessel to a level suitable for extracting a beverage, it securely affixes to the inner wall of the vessel through the flexible structure. The depth within a vessel is adjustable to control the product quality.

The second connecting part (61) is disconnectably connectable to the first connecting part (51) so that the support member (62) extends into the dispensing area (4) to support a beverage user-recipient (7) under the beverage outlet (3). The first connecting part (51) and the second connecting part (61) have a connection member and a connection receiver arrangement for disconnectably connecting the parts (51,61) such that: the first connecting part forms a connection member and the second connecting part forms a connection receiver; and/or the first connecting part (51) forms a connection receiver and the second connecting part (61) forms a connection member. The connection member is inserted in the connection receiver when the first and second connecting parts (51,61) are connected. The connection member is removed from the connection receiver along a removal direction (51′) when the first and second connecting parts (51,61) are disconnected. The removal direction (51′) has an upwardly directed vertical component (51″) when such machine (1) is in position to dispense the beverage (2).

摘要: An upward flow extraction method, apparatus, and extract are disclosed. The upward flow extraction method can comprise loading extraction material into an extraction cell having a bottom portion and a top portion; introducing a first aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell; expelling gas from the extraction cell through the top portion of the extraction cell; closing the top portion of the extraction cell and increasing the pressure in the extraction cell as extraction medium flows into the bottom portion of the extraction cell; stopping the flow of extraction medium into the extraction cell; steeping the extraction material in the extraction medium under pressure to produce an extract; and introducing a second aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell to push extract through top portion of the extraction cell.

The beverage bag can be configured to work with any beverage brewing machine, and it can be filled with any suitable beverage material, including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. An adapter comprising a gasket and plug can be installed in the beverage machine to allow for the beverage bag to be used without the need for a reusable cup.
