Abstract: Heat resistant and/or nonstick polymer materials and composites, and cookware including a food support surface comprising an integrated or attached cooking surface formed of the materials and composites. The cookware can includes a melt-processible fluoropolymer surface or insert. The cookware can further include a laminate material with structural rigidity, wherein the laminate material includes a flexible substrate impregnated with the heat resistant polymer material, coated with a nonstick coating, and pressed or molded in a shaped cookware or other nonstick items or component. Various cooking devices can be pressed from the material, as well as oven or vehicle components.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing frying, grilling, baking, and/or cooking utensils involves creating a green body from powdery silicon carbide, carbon, fillers, binders, and additives using ceramic shaping methods such as pressing, isostatic pressing, hot pressing, casting, die casting, or injection molding. The green body is carbonized and subsequently infiltrated with a metallic silicon melt. Through a final infiltration firing, the green body, together with carbon, forms a silicon carbide bonding matrix, resulting in a dimensionally stable frying, grilling, baking, and/or cooking utensil of the highest stability without residual porosity and with a temperature resistance of up to 1,350° C. This method gives rise to the aforementioned cookware, produced through the described process.

Abstract: A cooking vessel according to one example embodiment includes a food receptacle for holding food during cooking. The cooking vessel includes an inner shell and an outer shell. An outside surface of the inner shell forms the food receptacle. A portion of an inside surface of the inner shell is spaced from a portion of an inside surface of the outer shell forming a sealed volume between the inner shell and the outer shell. A heat pipe is positioned within the sealed volume between the inner shell and the outer shell for distributing heat through the sealed volume between the inner shell and the outer shell. Embodiments include those wherein each of the inner shell and the outer shell includes a respective bottom wall and a respective side wall.

Abstract: An article of cookware has an interior cooking surface that with raised linear or curvilinear bands with an outer layer of a first material that is one of ceramic or metallic in nature to provide cut and abrasion resistance. Valleys or grooves between the raised bands have an outer layer of a second material with low surface energy to facilitate food release and cleaning of debris. The bands are arranged to protect the second material from cutting and abrasion that would damage the second material. The bands aid in enhancing distribution of cooking oil to enhance searing and browning of foods.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a heating cooker using a ceramic heating element and a manufacturing method thereof, the method comprising: a cooker body preparation step; a heating element material preparation step of preparing any one or more selected from among mill scale, steelmaking slag and magnetite (Fe3O4); an inorganic binder preparation step of preparing, as an inorganic binder, a colloidal silica sol having a colloidal silica content of 8 to 30 wt %; a mixing step of mixing 20 to 40 parts by weight of the colloidal silica sol as the inorganic binder with 100 parts by weight of the heating element material, thereby making a heating material paste; an application step of applying the heating element paste to the bottom of the cooker body; and a drying and curing step of drying and curing the heating element paste, thereby forming a solid heating element.

Abstract: A bottle sleeve warmer apparatus for conveniently heating a dental procedure water bottle includes a sleeve body having a front side separated from a rear side to form an inside. An attachment mechanism is coupled to the sleeve body and is configured to secure the sleeve body around a bottle. A control housing is coupled to the front side of the sleeve body. A temperature sensor is coupled to the rear side of the sleeve body and is configured to read the temperature of the bottle. A temperature display is coupled to the control housing to display a reading from the temperature sensor. A plurality of controls is coupled to the control housing and activates a heating element coupled within the inside of the sleeve body to maintain the temperature of the bottle at a preset level.
