Abstract: The present invention provides a capsule endoscope, including: a power supply component; a power utilization component, comprising an image acquisition component; at least one power storage component, which is connected in parallel with the power supply component to form a power pack, the power storage component and the power supply component jointly providing power for the image acquisition component. According to the capsule endoscope, a capacitor, the power supply component and the like work in conjunction to supply power to a power utilization component, so that a peak power supply quantity can be increased, and the power utilization requirement can be met even if a high-power-consumption power utilization component operates. A multi-capacitor parallel connection mode is used in more than one power pack, so that the overlarge size of a single capacitor and possible safety risks can be avoided, and power distribution can be achieved.

A serial-clock generation circuit is configured to generate the serial clock synchronized with the system clock output to the signal line. A system-clock output circuit is configured to output the system clock to the signal line in a blanking period.

Abstract: A method of imaging tissue of a subject using an electronic rolling shutter imager includes sequentially resetting rows of pixels of the rolling shutter imager from a first row to a last row for a first amount of time; illuminating the tissue of the subject with illumination light over an illumination period that begins once the last row of the rolling shutter imager has been reset and lasts for at least the first amount of time; accumulating charge at the rows of pixels over at least the illumination period based on light that is received from the tissue of the subject while the tissue of the subject is illuminated with the illumination light; sequentially reading charge accumulated at the rows of pixels from the first row to the last row once the illumination period has ended; and generating an image frame from the rows of pixels.

Abstract: A method includes capturing, via a camera that is inserted into a cavity, a first image of a surface defining the cavity and compressing the first image, using a compression algorithm, to generate a first feature vector. The method also includes identifying a second feature vector of a plurality of second feature vectors that best matches the first feature vector. The plurality of second feature vectors was generated by compressing second images of the surface using the compression algorithm. The second images were captured prior to insertion of the camera into the cavity and prior to capturing the first image. The method also includes generating, using the second feature vector, output indicating a position and/or an orientation of the camera as the camera captured the first image.
