    摘要: White light emitted from a first light source is sequentially converted into green light, blue light, and red light by a first wheel. Excitation light emitted from a second light source passes through a second wheel. The green light, the blue light and the red light, and the excitation light are switched by shutters to enter a prism. The optical path of the green light, the blue light and the red light transmitted through the prism coincides with the optical path of the excitation light reflected by the prism. As a result, the green light, the blue light, the red light and the excitation light sequentially and repeatedly enter a light guide.

When a second wheel inserts a transparent member 251 into the optical path, the ultraviolet-and-blue light, the green light, and the red light enter a light guide. On the other hand, when the second wheel inserts a fluorescence observation filter into the optical path, ultraviolet-and-blue light is converted to ultraviolet light and then enters the light guide, while the green light is blocked and the red light enters the light guide.

    摘要: In a life span meter system for a lamp, such as a xenon lamp, used in an electronic endoscope, a counter numerically estimates a lit-time of the lamp as a numerical data whenever the lamp is turned ON. A memory stores the numerical data as a total numerical data of the lit-time of the lamp whenever the lamp is turned OFF. A determiner determines whether the total numerical data reaches a numerical life-span data which is numerically estimated from a life span of the lamp. An indicator indicates that the lamp should be exchanged with a new lamp when it is determined by the determiner that the total numerical lit-time data exceeds the numerical life-span data.

    摘要: A rigid endoscope optics including an outer tube (1) of which the distal aperture is closed by a window (2) affixed to the outer tube in a sealed manner. The outer tube encloses an image transmitter (4, 5) running through it and a light guide (6) running parallel to the transmitter, the transmitter and pipe being configured by their distal ends (5, 7) looking and radiating, respectively, through the window. The light guide is cross-sectionally separated from the image transmitter's cross-section at least in the region of defined between their distal ends and the window by an optically opaque partition (3). The partition rests by its distal edge against the window, wherein an elastic and opague insert is disposed between the distal end of the partition (3) against the window (2).

    摘要: An endoscope assembly includes a housing having an outwardly extending tube with the free end adapted for insertion into a body cavity. A laser is contained within the housing which emits an output beam through the free end of the tube. A light sensor detects light in a predetermined color range which impinges upon the free end of the tube and generates an output signal representative thereof. A circuit disables the laser in response to the output signal from the light sensor.

    摘要: An endoscope system has a lamp 22 that emits illumination light with which an object is illuminated, and a power supply 24 that supplies power with which the lamp is lit. Furthermore, the endoscope system includes a condition detecting unit and a notifying unit. The condition detecting unit is provided to or near the lamp 22 and detects a predetermined condition relevant to the lamp. The notifying unit notifies an operator of the state of the lamp according to a result of detection performed by the condition detecting unit. The condition detecting unit is a temperature detector 27 or a power detector 51. The temperature detector 27 detects whether the temperature at or near the lamp is equal to or larger than a predetermined value. The power detector 51 detects whether current or voltage supplied or applied from the power supply to the lamp is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value.
