Abstract: A surgical draping system includes an under-draping, an over-draping, and a connecting draping connected by the under-draping and the over-draping. The surgical draping system is used to establish and maintain a surgical corridor to a surgical site or sites on a patient supported by a surgical table. The surgical draping system can accommodate rotation of the patient on the surgical table, such that the sterile surgical corridor is maintained even during such rotation. The sterile surgical corridor extends through an aperture formed in the over-draping, through an enclosed passageway formed through the connecting draping, and through an aperture formed in the under-draping.

Abstract: A sterile surgical drape includes left and right inflatable supports leveling the upper surface of the drape to better corral instruments during angiographic procedures. An optional center inflatable support helps center the drape and provides a continuation of this work surface. Multiple sealable openings can be provided at common groin and wrist locations.

Abstract: Disclosed is an incision foil made of a sterile, thin adhesive plastic film with a defined pattern printed on it (e.g. a fine grid pattern) which can be stuck e.g. on a patient's skin surface and which marks the anatomical region of interest. Using a camera, images are acquired of the attached film and the deformation of the pattern is digitized. With a computer vision algorithm the surface of the patient, which corresponds to the surface of the film, is reconstructed from the detected pattern features in the images in comparison to the known original undeformed pattern. Disclosed is also a method for determining a geometry of the surface of the patient using the incision foil.

Abstract: A surgical universal headrest is disclosed. In one embodiment, a body has two lateral wings slidably coupled to the body. Each lateral wing has an arm moveably secured thereto with a range of proximal-to-distal motion with respect to a medial line of the body. The body, lateral wings, and the arms, in cooperative combination, define a support perimeter of adjustable size having an opening therethrough. The support perimeter of adjustable size accommodates patients ranging from premature infants to adults and the opening accommodates an eye-nose-mouth region of a patient ranging from a premature infant to an adult. A skull pin holder assembly is included.
