摘要: A medical device is configured to receive sensed cardiac event data including a value of a feature determined from each one of a plurality of cardiac events sensed from a cardiac signal according to a first setting of a sensing control parameter. The medical device is configured to classify each value of the feature of each one of the sensed cardiac events as either a predicted sensed event or a predicted undersensed event according to a second setting of the sensing control parameter that is less sensitive to sensing cardiac events than the first setting. The medical device is configured to determine a predicted sensed event interval between each consecutive pair of the predicted sensed events and predict that an arrhythmia is detected or not detected based on the predicted sensed event intervals.

摘要: Computer implemented methods and implantable medical devices (IMD) are provided that obtain cardiac activity (CA) signals for a cardiac beat and compare the CA signals to a sensitivity level to detect a sensed event. One or more processors are configured to change the sensitivity level, utilized by the sensing circuitry, over the cardiac beat based on an adaptive sensitivity profile. The adaptive sensitivity profile has a maximum sensitivity limit (MSL). The process determines whether a characteristic of interest (COI) from a candidate event satisfies criteria relative to the COI for a collection of prior sensed events, declares the candidate event to be a valid sensed event or a false sensed event based on the determine operation; and adjusts the maximum sensitivity limit based on when the COI from the candidate event satisfies the criteria to provide adaptive sensing of CA signals.

摘要: Techniques for facilitating communication between an implantable medical device and an external device are provided. In one example, a method comprises broadcasting, via communication circuitry of an implantable device, a first set of advertisements at a first advertising rate according to a communication protocol. The method further comprises determining that detection circuitry of the implantable device detected voltage induced by an electromagnetic field at an interface between tissue of a patient and electrodes of the implantable device and in response to the detection of voltage induced by the electromagnetic field, broadcasting, via the communication circuitry, a second set of advertisements at a second advertising rate according to the communication protocol. The second advertising rate is greater than the first advertising rate.

摘要: An implantable medical device includes a header configured to be mounted to an end of a device housing that contains an electronics module therein. The header includes an antenna, a sensing electrode, and a header body that at least partially surrounds the antenna and the sensing electrode. The sensing electrode includes a first body portion, a second body portion, and a bridge portion that mechanically and electrically connects the first and second body portions. The first body portion is at least partially exposed to an external environment along a first side of the header, and the second body portion is at least partially exposed to the external environment along a second side of the header that is different from the first side.
