摘要: A tilt resistant stand for medical devices may include a base with casters and an upright support with a mounting portion for a medical device. A stand for medical devices can be resistant to tilting by having a gravitational centroid that is substantially vertically aligned with the geometric centroid of the base for enhanced stability, where the gravitational centroid is defined as a combined center of gravity of the medical device stand and any medical devices mounted thereto and the geometric centroid of the base is defined as a horizontal planar region having the casters as vertices. The gravitational centroid may be substantially vertically aligned with the geometric centroid due to a horizontal offset between the mounting portion and the geometric centroid.

摘要: A surgical device comprising a first clamping member, a second clamping member, an electric motor, and a control system is disclosed. The electric motor is configured to drive at least one of the first clamping member and the second clamping member toward a predetermined tissue gap between the first clamping member and the second clamping member to clamp the tissue of a patient. The control system is configured to monitor a parameter of the electric motor. The parameter is indicative of a clamping force exerted to the tissue by the first clamping member and the second clamping member. The control system is further configured to control the electric motor based on the parameter to limit the clamping force to a predetermined maximum limit.

摘要: A mobile cart that holds a bag for receiving solid waste generated during a medical or surgical procedure. The cart includes a sensor that monitors whether or not an object containing metal is placed in the bag. A processor monitors the signal output by the sensor. If the sensor signal indicates that an object with a minimal amount of metal is placed in the bag, the processor momentarily asserts an audible alarm and continuously asserts a light alarm. The light alarm remains asserted until turned off. If, while the light alarm is on, the sensor signal indicates a second object with the minimal amount of waste is placed in the container, the processor again momentarily asserts the audible alarm. This provides notice that it may be necessary to investigate the contents of the bag to determine if not one but two or more objects were inadvertently discarded.

摘要: A sterile adaptor is provided. The adaptor includes a housing, a retractor plate assembling, and a disc. The retractor plate assembly is coupled to the housing and includes a spring plate between upper and lower retractor plates. The spring plate includes an aperture with leaves. The disc is movably coupled to the spring plate of the retractor plate assembly, with a first side of the disc couplable to a surgical instrument and a second side of the disc couplable to a manipulator arm of a robotic surgical system. The disc is capable of transmitting torque from the manipulator arm to the surgical instrument.

The fixtures are detachably attached to a fixing base which extends substantially horizontally to the fixing stand body. A hanger component is further attached to the fixing base.
