摘要： A method in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present invention includes increasing a concentration of a modified or unmodified saccharide within a subject's skin, applying an applicator to the subject's skin, and cooling the subject's skin via a heat-transfer surface of the applicator. The saccharide within the subject's skin can enhance a resistance of at least some cells within the subject's skin to damage associated with the cooling. A corresponding system includes the applicator, the saccharide, and an energy-delivery device. The energy-delivery device can be configured to apply ultrasound, optical, thermal, or another type of energy to the subject's skin to drive the saccharide into the subject's skin. The system can also include a penetration enhancer configured to enhance penetration of the saccharide into the subject's skin. The penetration enhancer can be applied with the saccharide or separately.

摘要： A hand warmer with double-sided heating is provided. The hand warmer includes a hand warmer body with a cambered surface on one side and a flat surface on the other side. Through the flat surface of the hand warmer body, two hand warmer bodies can be attached together. The hand warmer body includes an outer shell, a heating film disposed on each of two sides of the outer shell, and an aluminum alloy thermally-conductive cover plate covered on the heating film. The outer shell is internally provided with a Hall switch that is tightly attached to the flat surface and a magnetic steel located on a side of the Hall switch. Flat surfaces of the two hand warmer bodies are opposite and attached to each other.

摘要： An inductive heating system including a tape with a mechanism for securing a physio tape to the body of a user. An inductive heating element is mounted on or in the tape and is adapted to receive magnetic energy from a remote inductive heating source. In one embodiment, the system further includes a control system operationally coupled to the heating source. A user interface is coupled to the control system to set a temperature profile of the system as a function of time. A first transceiver is coupled to the control system to communicate the program to a second transceiver remotely mounted at the tape. The second transceiver mounted on the tape receives information from a temperature sensor mounted on the tape and sends on and off signals to back to the control system to regulate the flow of energy to the tape and thereby execute the temperature regulation program. The inductive heating source may be mounted in a stationary frame or a mobile wireless platform.
