    摘要: The present disclosure relates to bone graft substitute formulations with a liquid weight to powder weight ratio (L/P) of about 0.35 to about 0.40. The formulations disclosed herein have significantly longer set times than formulations with lower L/P ratios, and yet the cement resulting from the formulations disclosed herein have comparable dissolution rates to those of formulations having a lower L/P. The present disclosure also relates to kits for making the bone graft substitute formulations and methods of treating bone defects with said formulations.

    摘要: An implant and/or an implant component is made available, having a main body which, at least on a surface, contains or consists of an electrically conductive material, and having a layer of calcium hydroxide applied to the electrically conductive material of the main body. The implant or the implant component is characterized in that the layer of calcium hydroxide contains calcium phosphate, specifically in a percentage by weight that is less than the percentage by weight of calcium hydroxide in this layer. A method for making available the implant according to the invention or the implant component according to the invention is also proposed. The implant made available and the implant component made available are characterized in that they have a local and temporary antimicrobial action, prevent formation of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms, act on bone substance in a manner that promotes growth, and produce no adverse side effects in the body.

    摘要: An adjustable spinal fusion intervertebral implant including upper and lower body portions each having proximal and distal surfaces at proximal and distal ends thereof. The implant can include a proximal wedge member disposed at the proximal ends of the respective ones of the upper and lower body portions, and a distal wedge member disposed at the distal ends of the respective ones of the upper and lower body portions. First and second linkages can connect the upper and lower body portions. Rotation of an actuator shaft can cause the distal and proximal wedge members to be drawn together such that longitudinal movement of the distal wedge member against the distal surfaces and the longitudinal movement of the proximal wedge member against the proximal surfaces causes separation of the upper and lower body portions.
