Abstract: Traditionally, vital signs monitors in the veterinary setting have been designed for use with human subjects that have simply been repurposed for use in the veterinary space. While some changes may be made to the human monitor to make it more amenable for veterinary use (e.g., changing the monitor display options from “adult” and “pediatric” to “large animal” and “small animal”), these changes are generally only done on a superficial level and thus omit significant veterinary-specific functionality that might otherwise be obtained. Further, vital signs monitors do not include a pre-procedure checklist or any functionality to increase safety awareness and allow clinics to ensure compliance with certain pre-procedure protocols. Accordingly, it is a purpose of the present invention to provide a veterinary-specific vitals signs monitor that overcomes these traditional limitations and increases the ease and efficiency with which veterinary care can be delivered.

Abstract: A system for cardiopulmonary bypass, including: a cardiopulmonary bypass reservoir configured to store a blood; a pump in fluid communication with the cardiopulmonary bypass reservoir configured to provide pressure to the system; an oxygen source including a pressure regulator configured to regulate an oxygen pressure; an oxygenator fluidly connected to the pressure regulator of the oxygen source via an sweep gas inlet, wherein the sweep gas inlet is configured to have a subatmospheric pressure and the oxygenator is configured to oxygenate the blood; a vacuum regulator fluidly connected to the oxygenator via an sweep gas outlet, and configured to provide the subatmospheric pressure; a flow restrictor fluidly connected to the sweep gas inlet and configured to allow for a pressure drop from the oxygen source to the oxygenator; and an arterial filter fluidly connected to a blood outlet of the oxygenator and to the cardiopulmonary bypass reservoir.

Abstract: Systems are provided for a vaporizer gas mixer. The system includes a one-piece body; a gas inlet passage and a gas outlet passage; a first flow path fluidically coupled to the gas inlet passage and the gas outlet passage, the first flow path having a plurality of curves; and a second flow path fluidically coupled to the first flow path and a vaporizing chamber, wherein the first flow path and the second flow path merge after the gas inlet passage and before the plurality of curves. The second flow path includes curves extending in different planes.

Abstract: An anesthetic evaporator locking structure for detachably connecting an anesthetic evaporator to an anesthesia main machine is disclosed. The anesthetic evaporator includes a main body and a securing member provided on the main body. The anesthesia main machine includes a driving element and a mating member provided on the anesthesia main machine. The securing member and the mating member mate with each other to form a primary locking mechanism, and when the anesthetic evaporator is in an activated state, the driving element limits the primary locking mechanism to realize secondary locking. The anesthetic evaporator further includes a handle provided on the main body and an unlocking device provided on the handle, and the unlocking device is used for unlocking the primary locking mechanism. The anesthetic evaporator locking structure can realize the double locking and has relatively high safety, and both the locking and unlocking processes can be operated by one hand, which is convenient and quick.
