Abstract: [Problem] To provide an economic suction adaptor that is capable of suctioning a highly viscous enteral nutrient to a gastric fistula catheter syringe without the intake of air.
[Solution] The number of people having meals of highly viscous enteral nutrients such as blended diets through a gastric fistula catheter is increasing among pediatric patients who need long-term intubation nutrients, and among elderly people who have trouble with oral intake. Suctioning a blended diet on a dish with a syringe alone is undesirable because air is introduced. The suction adaptor of the present invention is used by being connected to the syringe, wherein a suction tube having, on an upper portion thereof, a connection part connected to a nozzle of the syringe is formed in the middle of a bowl-shaped suction pad which is an elastic body.

Abstract: The invention is a theranostic delivery system or radiopharmaceutical drugs delivery system with movable workstation having handles. The workstation of theranostic delivery system or radiopharmaceutical drugs delivery system also has an on-board shielded disposal system for waste collection, which is operated by foot actuated system for locked and unlocked modes during the device journey. The theranostic delivery system or radiopharmaceutical drugs delivery system comprises a status light system that illuminates the working area to enable distance monitoring. Further, the delivery system includes a disposable secondary containment system that protects the core workstation from contamination, a configurable dose transporter and a disposable sealed fluid cartridge to withdraw custom volume from the vial or syringe. The delivery system includes a theranostic informatics management system, which contains a computer screen as a graphical user interface with a retractable rotating arm to receive the various patient infusion parameters.

Abstract: A jet injector that includes a prefilled syringe. The syringe includes a fluid chamber that contains a medicament. The syringe also has an injection-assisting needle, and a plunger is movable within the fluid chamber. A housing is configured for allowing insertion of the needle to a penetration depth. An energy source is configured for biasing the plunger to produce an injecting pressure in the medicament in the fluid chamber of between about 80 and 1000 p.s.i. to jet inject the medicament from the fluid chamber through the needle to an injection site.

Abstract: A syringe includes a plunger having multiple sections of differing diameters or materials, and a barrel with a cavity into which the plunger is inserted. The barrel includes a first probe and a second probe opposite to one another such that an interior volume of the barrel is radially between the first and second probes. A microcontroller is configured to measure a capacitance between the first and second probes, with the measured capacitance having a first capacitance value when the first section of the plunger shaft is between the first and second probes and a second capacitance value different from the first capacitance value when a second section of the plunger shaft is between the first and second probes. The microcontroller is configured to determine that an injection has been completed when the second capacitance value is measured.
