摘要: The invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a low molecular weight silk fibroin and a cosmetically acceptable carrier; wherein said low molecular weight silk fibroin comprises at least 85 parts by weight peptides of molecular weight less than 2500 Da, where amino acid sequence of at least 50 wt % of said peptides is GAGY, GAGAGAGY, GAGVGAGY or AWSSESDF and where said silk fibroin is produced by a process comprising the steps of: (i) mixing an aqueous solution comprising 0.01 to 20 wt % of a high molecular weight silk fibroin of weight average molecular weight 6 to 100 KDa with ochymotrypsin at temperature of 25 to 45° C., under pH of 6 to 9 for 4 to 24 hours; where ratio of said high molecular weight silk fibroin to said ochymotrypsin in said solution is from 100:1 to 300:1 parts by weight: (ii) inactivating excess ochymotrypsin and separating the inactivated α-chymotrypsin from reaction mixture of step (i); and (ill) drying said reaction mixture to obtain said low molecular weight silk fibroin; wherein said composition comprises 0.1 to 10% by weight of the low molecular weight silk fibroin.

摘要: A hair color retention system includes a primer composition having an effective amount of a dendrimer or hyperbranched compound in a cosmetically acceptable aqueous carrier and a chitosan complex composition including chitosan, dehydroxanthan gum, an aldehyde-bearing compound (ABC), and an organic acid. Upon application and rinsing of the primer composition, followed by application of the chitosan complex composition, a chitosan complex coating is formed on hair fibers that provides color retention to the hair. ΔE of the treated hair is less than or equal to 10 after 40 washes with a clarifying shampoo.

摘要: A concentrated reconstitutable liquid compositions for personal care and a process of making thereof. The composition comprises a blend of sodium lauroyl methyl taurate and sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate in a ratio of 1:2 with solid content of greater than 40%; b. cocamidopropyl betaine with solid content of greater than 40%; c. an antimicrobial preservative; and d. cosmetically and pharmaceutically acceptable auxiliaries. The compositions are low-viscous ‘easy-to-transfer’ and ‘easy-to-hydrate’ and upon dilution with water, afford high viscous ‘ready-to-use’ personal cleansing compositions such as hand-washes, body-washes or shampoos. The liquid compositions of the present invention are based on surfactants only and are free of thickeners such as natural gums or synthetic polymers or other ‘structuring agents’.

摘要: A bacterial ferment obtained by a method including the following steps: (a) culturing Lactobacillus species in at least one growth medium for at least 24 hours; (b) separating the mixture via centrifugation; (c) adding lactic acid to the supernatant obtained from step b) in an amount sufficient to lower the pH value of the supernatant; (d) stabilizing the resulting mixture with the addition of at least one preservative and/or at least one multifunctional; and optionally (e) filtering the mixture to remove any final precipitation.
