摘要： A respiratory mask system includes a headgear that, in use, secures the respiratory mask system to a patient's head. The headgear includes a pair of forehead straps that are coupled together by a forehead coupler to form a closed loop. The forehead coupler is removably connected to a frame of the respiratory mask such that the forehead straps remain in a closed loop. The pair of forehead straps can also be coupled together by positioning a male strap portion within an aperture of a female strap portion. The male strap portion has a free end that is configured to be received into the aperture. The male strap portion includes a plurality of notches that engage the aperture of the female strap portion and provide incremental adjustment. The free ends of the male and female strap portions have fasteners configured to engage the surface of the other strap portion.

摘要： Adjustable CBRN mask systems are disclosed including a face mask with a face cover, a lens disposed in and surrounded by the face cover, and a gas interface disposed in and surrounded by the face cover. A hood surrounds, and is removably attached to, the face mask, and includes a hood adjustment mechanism with a draw string to tighten the hood at the crown of the wearer's head and around and/or below the wearer's chin. The hood adjustment mechanism may be tightened by pulling an adjustment handle forward from below the wearer's chin, and loosened by pulling a separate release handle rearward from behind the wearer's head.

摘要： A powered air filtration mask is a protective face covering device with an integrated filtration and air-handling mechanism that enables active sterilization of both incoming and outgoing volume of air. Aside from the obvious benefits of active sterilization, the constant recirculation of air reduces heat and moisture accumulation for the user. This can improve adherence to rules for proper use of the mask, and thereby increase the overall efficacy of the mask as a tool to reduce pathogenic spread. Further, the device includes a control device that enables the user to easily manipulate and control the electrical components of the present invention. Furthermore, a plurality of illuminators integrated on the device enables the present invention to be used in various outdoor and indoor conditions. 摘要： A portable, personal protective (PPP) respirator includes a protective barrier made of pliable material that expands when air flow is provided to create a volumetric interior air space, the barrier being non-porous and configured with an opening at one end and sealed at all other surfaces. The PPP respirator includes a barrier collar that is bendable to conform to being worn over a neck and shoulders of a person, the barrier collar providing an attachment component around which material from the open end of the barrier is wrapped to hold the protective barrier in place when the barrier collar is worn around the neck of the person. The PPP respirator includes a mantle having a neck opening for placing of the mantle over the person's head, the mantle resting on the person's neck and shoulders and upper torso when worn. The protective barrier prevents direct exposure to an exterior environment.

The exhalation valve can include a valve seat and a flexible flap that is in engagement with the valve seat. The flexible flap can have one or more materials that can cause the flap to flash when moving from a closed position to an open position or vice versa. The flashing valve can make it easier for a user to ascertain whether the valve is operating properly.
