摘要: A communication system includes a first radio frequency identification (RFID) device coupled to a sensor that monitors a fire condition and a second RFID device. The first RFID device includes at least one first antenna that receives a fire detection signal from the sensor, and a processing circuit that causes the at least one first antenna to transmit a radio frequency (RF) signal corresponding to the fire detection signal through an internal volume of a pipe coupled to a fluid source. The second RFID device includes at least one second antenna that receives the RF signal through the internal volume of the pipe. The second RFID device controls operation of a fluid distribution device responsive to receiving the indication of the fire detection signal.

摘要: A fire detection device and method therefor are able to provide automatic activation so as to extinguish a fire. The fire detection can be rapid and temperature-based. In one embodiment, a heat collector can be provided to enhance thermal responsiveness. Activation of the fire detection device can be electrically or mechanically induced to release an extinguishing agent at the fire. The activation can be protected such that it is durable and unaffected by vibrations.

The stored commodity to be protected may include ex posed expanded plastics. The fluid distribution devices include a frame body having an inlet, an outlet, a sealing assembly, and an electronically operated releasing mechanism supporting the sealing assembly in the outlet.

The assembly also includes a deflection assembly configured to extend from the housing due to gravity and activation of a cover plate, with a deflector configured to disperse the fire exposure protection fluid over the one or more windows so as to wet the one or more windows.

摘要: A fire protection system includes a pipe system in fluid communication with a water source. A local processing unit is operatively coupled to a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag reader antenna. Sensors monitoring a sensor area for the presence of a fire are in electrical communication with the local processing unit. Fluid distribution devices in fluid communication with the pipe system are configured to deliver water from the water source to the sensor area. An RFID tag apparatus is coupled to one of the fluid distribution devices and includes an RFID tag antenna positioned within the pipe system and is configured to transmit and receive radio frequency (RF) signals to and from the RFID reader antenna and local processing unit, through the pipe system.

The fluid transport and delivery system includes a tank having an exit aperture formed in a bottom wall of the tank, a plug aligned with the exit aperture of the tank, and a plug actuator configured to move the plug along an axis from an open position, in which the fluid stored in the tank passes around the plug and through the exit aperture, to a closed position, in which fluid is blocked from exiting through the exit aperture.
