摘要: A fire sprinkler head has a valve with an X-brace latch, and includes a flexible conduit. A sprinkler nozzle is secured to a first end of the flexible conduit. The sprinkler nozzle includes a first fitting, a sprinkler orifice and fusible element. A second fitting is secured to the second end of the flexible conduit and includes the valve. The valve has a valve element which is moveable from a latched position to an unlatched position. A flexible link extends from the sprinkler nozzle to the X-brace valve latch. Breaking of the fusible element releases the flexible link to move from the latched position to the unlatched position, releasing the valve for flow there-through.

摘要: A fire extinguishing system is provided for a tire of a vehicle. The fire extinguishing system includes fire extinguishing injectors filled with fire extinguishing chemicals and installed in the vehicle to be able to inject the fire extinguishing chemical to the tire. A fire detection line is installed to connect between the fire extinguishing injectors. Each of the fire extinguishing injectors is configured to inject the fire extinguishing chemical when a fire of the tire is detected through the fire detection line.

摘要: The proposed technical solution relates to fire prevention equipment and can be used in industrial and civilian properties, including with an increased risk of fire, for locating hot spots, and also for efficiently extinguishing fires in facilities using automatic fire-extinguishing systems. The technical problem addressed by the claimed invention is to produce a fire-extinguishing device which does not have the drawbacks mentioned and has increased reliability, efficiency and manufacturability. The technical result of the claimed invention consists in elimination of the drawbacks of the prior art, in an increase in the reliability and manufacturability of a fire-extinguishing device and thus in an increase in the fire-extinguishing efficiency overall.

摘要: A thermal trigger assembly for remote mechanical actuation of another fire protection system component includes an activation component having a base and a movable member. A bias member biases the movable member from a preactivation to an activated position with respect to the base. A thermally responsive element retains the movable member in the preactivation position until a predetermined thermodynamic condition is reached, when the thermally responsive element loses structural integrity. A flexible connector includes a flexible hollow outer cable housing with one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the base. A flexible cable is inside the outer cable housing for sliding movement therein and has one end configured to be stationarily (preferably fixedly) connected with the movable member. The flexible cable is moved with respect to the outer cable housing by movement of the movable member upon loss of structural integrity by the thermally responsive element.

A method of testing integrity of a sprinkler bulb is also provided, comprising: monitoring a pressure change within the sprinkler bulb 100 via a wireless module 160 of a passive circuit device 120 inside a sealed frangible housing 110 of the sprinkler bulb 100; and determining that the sprinkler bulb is in working order if the pressure reaches a predetermined threshold; or determining that the sprinkler bulb is not in working order if the pressure does not reach the predetermined threshold.

摘要: A heat actuated valve comprises a base adapted to be mounted on a fire extinguisher container. The base includes a passsage communicable with the container interior. A pair of stop fingers extend forwardly from the base. A fusible element interconnects the stop fingers. The base, stop fingers and fusible element are of one-piece, integral construction. A plunger is slidably mounted in the passage and includes a passage-blocking portion which blocks the passage when the plunger abuts the stop fingers during a fire sensing mode of operation. The plunger is slidable rearwardly to shift the passage-blocking portion to a first passage-opening position to allow the container to be filled. The plunger is operable, in response to melting of the fuse, to spread the stop fingers apart and travel forwardly sufficiently to shift the passage-blocking portion to a second passage-opening position, enabling the container contents to be discharged.
