摘要： An angled rotating play device is provided as a cantileveredly merry-go-round supported above the ground from below. A foot platform provides a location for one or more riders feet along a first rotation axis and is angled at an acute angle relative to a vertical axis. The vertical axis may also provide a second rotation axis. At least one of a plurality of supports connect to at least one hand hold above the foot platform whereby the hand hold and/or covers over the hand hold provide a maximum elevation of the device and may help users to shift their weight to self drive the device from the device.

摘要： An amusement apparatus includes an elongate member having an upper extremity formed with a leveraging arm and an opposed lower extremity formed with a pivot point. A seat to receive a child in a sitting position is mounted to the elongate member for rotation thereabout between the opposed upper and lower extremities, and a handlebar available to be taken up by hand by a child seated on the seat is mounted to the elongate member for rotation thereabout between the seat and the upper extremity. The leveraging arm extends outwardly from the upper extremity to a handled end positioned above the seat. The elongate leveraging arm is available to be taken up at the handled end to reciprocally pivot the elongate member at the pivot point of the lower extremity of the elongate member to impart rotation to the seat about the elongate member.

摘要： One embodiment of an occupant propelled roundabout (“roundabout”) may have a body. The roundabout may also have a carrier, which may be rotatably carried by the body and may also have a seat assembly adapted to carry an occupant. In addition, the roundabout may also have a drive mechanism pivotally coupled to the seat assembly such that the drive mechanism may be movable between a deployed position and a retracted position. The drive mechanism may be moved toward the deployed position in response to the occupant operating the drive mechanism. Also, the roundabout may have a biasing member, which may be operably connected between the drive mechanism and the carrier so that the biasing member may move the drive mechanism toward the retracted position.

The apparatus includes an activity table adapted for receiving one or more children's activity items, a seat for supporting a child above the floor, a connecting beam for connecting the seat to the activity table, and one or more legs connected to and depending downwardly from the seat to the floor to support the seat and prevent the seat from tipping over when a child is supported therein. The seat has a pair of leg openings that allow the child to touch the floor with its legs, and the connecting beam is rotatably connected to the activity table so that the child in the seat can travel in an orbital path around the activity table.

摘要： A user propelled merry-go-round including a base with a post centrally coupled to a top surface thereof and extending upwards therefrom. Also included is a support pivotally coupled to the post. The support has a plurality of support members extending radially from the post. A plurality of wheel forks are each coupled to an associated support member and extended vertically downward therefrom with an axially aligned bore formed therein. A plurality of bicycle frames are each coupled to an associated support member with a seat situated thereon. Wheels with associated sprockets are each axially coupled to one of the forks via the bore thereof. A plurality of pedal units are axially coupled to an associated bicycle frame whereby the sprocket of the pedal unit and the sprocket of the wheel reside in a similar plane with a chain operatively coupled therebetween for allowing a user to precess about the post upon the rotation of the pedal unit.

摘要： A thrill-ride apparatus having as a basic concept the revolving of a rider station, whose support provides that the path of the ride will be along an inclined plane. The rider station is fixed to a support arm; and there is no counterbalance as to the weight of the support arm, rider's station, and the rider. The path of the rider is thus such that he must incrementally achieve not only the revolution with respect to the ground and the axis of the support structure, but by such oscillating incremental efforts achieve a raise from "bottom dead center" to "top dead center" as supported by the base of the apparatus.

摘要： A playground unit having a rotatable horizontally disposed deck adapted to support at least one passenger is provided with a control device operatively connected to the deck to limit the rotational speed thereof. The control device is a hydraulic governor comprising a fluid reservoir, a pump, and a valve with interconnecting fluid lines and check valves providing appropriate directional flow of fluid between the reservoir, pump and valve. The valve automatically moves between an open and closed position depending upon the rotational speed of the unit. The force required to maintain the rotational speed of the playground unit is much greater when the valve is closed as compared to when the valve is open.

摘要： An improved structure and method of assembly for an exercise wheel of the type described in my U.S. Pat. No. 3,649,007 includes an upper circular support surface conformed to mate with a lower support surface at the periphery, the peripheral edges of the upper and lower surfaces being provided with peripherally overhanging lips dimensioned to be engaged by a semicircular vinyl extrusion which includes interior keying projection for joining the surfaces together. Integral with the surfaces are a plurality of radial ribs, each surface including such ribs in corresponding opposed locations, which upon assembly are aligned relative each other. Formed centrally on the underside of the lower surface is a flange boss to which a pipe flange is secured engaging one end of a pipe supporting a post about which the wheel rotates.
