Abstract: A separator prevents microplastics from entering the environment by regenerating the pressure consumption of filters for removing microplastics in effluent from any source but in particular removing microfibers from domestic and commercial washing machine wastewater, industrial textile processing waste and roadside runoff. The separator separates microplastics from an effluent, and includes a chamber with an inlet and an outlet, a sieve structure forming a permeable barrier between the inlet and the outlet to filter the effluent, and a pump in fluid communication with the outlet of the chamber.

Abstract: A backflushing filter having an inlet, an outlet, and a drain; a filter that divides a housing into an inlet chamber that is connected to the inlet and an outlet chamber that is connected to the outlet; a backflushing device having a suction element arranged so that it is able to rotate around the filter on the inlet side of the housing with at least one suction opening that is oriented in the suction direction toward the filter for filter-cleaning purposes; a backflushing duct connected to a suction opening and the drain; and a rotating device which drives the rotational movement of the suction element around the filter when a pressure drop occurs in the backflushing duct; wherein when the pressure drop in the backflushing duct occurs, the rotating device drives the rotational movement of the suction element by the suction direction of the suction opening that is inclined relative to the radial direction of the suction element.

Abstract: A filter candle (1) in a backflush filter housing (2) has a cylindrical filter wall (3) and includes an internal hollow flushing element (8) divided into a flushing section (9) having a flushing port (10) for backflushing and a turbine section (11) for rotation of the flushing element. The flushing section tapers from a first end to a second end. The turbine section tapers from a first end to a second end and has turbine blades arranged on the outside. The first end of the flushing section is connected to the first end of the turbine section at a transition position (21). An outside of the flushing element forms a cylindrical restriction at the transition position so that the part of the cylindrical filter wall of the filter candle extending at the turbine section may be backflushed by means of fluid also driving the turbine.

Abstract: The present invention provides a multi plate screw press sludge dewatering machine and a helical shaft thereof. The multi plate screw press sludge dewatering machine includes fixed rings, movable rings, the helical shaft, a sludge inlet tank and a sludge discharging tank; the helical shaft adopts a variable diameter variable pitch helical shaft, a lead angle arrangement sequence of a helical blade of the whole helical shaft is gradual reduction from the sludge discharging tank to the sludge inlet tank, and the lead angle arrangement sequence is gradually reduced from 16°-22° to 6°-14°; a pitch of the helical shaft is gradually increased along a direction from the sludge inlet tank to the sludge discharging tank; a diameter of a shaft body of the helical shaft is gradually increased along with a direction of the sludge discharging tank from a ⅓ position of a shaft length; and blockage prevention plates are arranged on two sides of the bottom of the helical blade. The helical shaft in the present invention is specially designed, so that the pitch is more reasonable, a helical angle is gentler, frictional resistance when sludge passes through the helical shaft may be effectively reduced, and phenomena of shaft blockage and shaft sticking of the sludge may be reduced.

Abstract: A backwash header for a cloth filter includes a body having a length, a diameter, first and second ends, a longitudinal axis, and an exterior surface, the body defining at least one internal cavity. The body includes at least one suction slot sized to allow fluids and solids to enter the internal cavity from outside of the exterior surface. A structure is attached to a portion of the exterior surface of the body around and extending away from the suction slot to form an open-ended chamber defined by the structure and a portion of the exterior surface near the suction slot. The structure allows fluids and solids to enter the open-ended chamber and then the suction slot and cavity from a material being cleaned. Cloth filters and methods of treating water and wastewater using the backwash headers and cloth filters.

Abstract: There is disclosed an apparatus for cleaning circular filter screens comprising at least one suction chamber fitted to a conduit of the dirt collection conduit system extending along a central axis of the housing of the filter screen. The suction chamber comprises a central nozzle through which fluid is forced to flow by virtue of a pressure differential between the outer surface of the filter screen and an extremity of the dirt collection conduit system. The fluid flow through the central nozzle creates a low pressure regime near the mouth of the central nozzle such that fluid is forced through a plurality of peripheral suction nozzles arranged around the central nozzle from the outer surface of the filter screen to the inside of the suction chamber, thereby forcing the dirt and retentate accumulated along the inner surface of the filter screen to be washed away.
