A mix tank (60) is also provided having a liquid supply inlet (62), a recirculation inlet (64), and a solution outlet (66). A mix pump (40) that is in fluid communication with the solution outlet (66), the powder outlet (22), and the recirculation inlet (64) operates to mix and transfer the solution.

摘要: A method of preparing reagents includes inserting a cartridge into an instrument. The cartridge includes a plurality of reagent enclosures disposed in a cavity of the cartridge and exposing a port to an exterior of the cartridge. Each reagent enclosure includes a reagent container including a reagent and an internal cavity defining a compressible volume, an opening defined through the reagent container to the internal cavity. The method further includes connecting a plurality of fluid ports to the openings of the plurality of reagent enclosures; applying a solution through the fluid ports to at least partially fill the plurality of reagent enclosures; and cycling a pressure of the cavity, whereby for each of the reagent enclosures, during increasing pressure, the solution enters the internal cavity of the reagent container, combines with the reagent, and compresses the compressible volume, and during decreasing pressure, the compressible volume decreases and the reagent is ejected through the opening.

摘要: A method for obtaining a chemical concentration from a chemical composition and a fluid includes introducing the fluid through ports in a manifold diffuse member positioned adjacent a chemical composition and adjusting, with a fluid valve, characteristics of the flow of the fluid through the ports in the diffuser manifold to obtain and maintain a chemical concentration. The amount of liquid allowed through the ports modifies the turbulence of the liquid, thereby modifying the erosion rate of the chemical composition. An apparatus for adjusting characteristics of the flow of a fluid contacting a solid product to form a product chemistry includes a diffuser manifold having a manifold diffuse member comprising ports therethrough and a fluid valve for controlling the flow rate of a fluid moving through the plurality of ports and diverting the fluid through various flow paths.

The fluid line includes a first and second fluid line ends and a fluid source connection at the first fluid line end. The dispenser is at the second fluid line end. The dispenser includes a body and a fluid outlet. The cartridge houses the solid product and includes a fluid inlet and a solution outlet. The cartridge is removably connected at the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet of the dispenser. The cartridge is configured to receive fluid from the fluid outlet of the dispenser such that fluid contacts the solid product housed in the cartridge and dissolves at least a portion of the solid product forming the solution. The cartridge is also configured to output the solution at the solution outlet.

The mixing assembly includes a pliable enclosure containing a fluid and a mixing device. 摘要: An open-topped drinking cup 10 and a lid 12 comprising a lid cover 14 and a mixing device 16 for holding a mixing a condiment into a beverage 44 held in the dinking cup. The lid cover defines a circular mounting aperture 22 within which the mixing device is displaceably located. The mixing device 16 includes four tubular mixing elements 32.1, 32.2, 32.3, and 32.4 which are connected to another so as to be telescopically displaceable relative to one another between a retracted condition and an extended condition wherein the mixing device extends into the beverage 44. The mixing device 16 includes a condiment holder comprising a condiment chamber 36 which is defined within the mixing element 32.1, for holding a condiment 38 such as sugar. The mixing element 32.4 has a number of circumferentially-spaced slots 42 through which the condiment 38 is discharged into the beverage 44.

The apparatus may also have a code detection device for detecting and analyzing a machine-readable code associated with a storage container, said code containing information about which ingredients are contained in the solid molded bodies stored in the respective storage container.
