摘要： A trailing blade paper coating apparatus is disclosed which comprises means providing a resilient curved surface for supporting a moving web of cellulosic material, an applicator for a paper coating composition and a trailing blade which in use is biased towards and in contact with the moving web of cellulosic material, and which further includes a flexible blade mounted so that, in operation of the trailing blade paper coating apparatus, the flexible blade is in contact with a web of cellulosic material to be coated at a location which is upstream relative to the trailing blade and downstream relative to the applicator for the coating composition. A method is also disclosed and claimed.

摘要： An improved method and apparatus for applying a film of coating material on a moving web of paper carried through an application zone, utilize a reservoir of liquid coating material established under pressure between liquid seals at forward and rearward ends of the zone, and a doctor blade loaded against the web rearwardly of the rearward liquid seal. The reservoir is formed by forward and rearward relatively movable, sealed members, the upper edges of which define gaps with the paper web and doctor blade, respectively, in which gaps the liquid seals are formed. Coating material is flowed under pressure and in excess into the application zone to enable a pressurized area of coating material to be developed therein against the web and immediately upstream of the doctor blade, with the excess of coating material overflowing from the zone through the gaps to form the liquid seals. The provision of two overflow routes for excess coating material aids in skipless application of coating on the web.

摘要： A method and an apparatus for coating printed circuit boards on both sides are described in which the printed circuit boards are transported through several consecutive processing stations of a coating installation. In a first coating station, one side of the printed circuit boards is wet-coated with preferably UV-hardenable plastics and the printed circuit boards are subjected to vapour-removal and drying in a first vapour-removal and drying station. The printed circuit boards are turned and, in a second coating station, their second side is wet-coated with preferably UV-hardenable plastics and then are subjected to vapour-removal and drying in a second vapour-removal and drying station. The boards are finally transferred from the coating installation to other processing apparatuses for further processing. In the coating operation, the printed circuit boards are transported in opposite directions through the two coating stations which are arranged side by side in two parallel lines of apparatus. The first vapour-removal and drying station is so arranged between the first and the second coating stations that its longitudinal extent is transverse to the transport directions of the printed circuit boards in the coating stations. Holding devices for the printed circuit boards, which devices are secured to the ascending section of a circulating conveyor, preferably a chain conveyor, extend transversely to the first apparatus line while holding devices that are secured to the descending section of the circulating conveyor extend transversely to the second apparatus line.

摘要： An assembly for facilitating the use of paint applicator accessories in connection with a plastic container is provided. The assembly includes a nozzle device housed within a container lid and having a suction line, which extends into the paint container. The assembly also includes one or more vent holes. The assembly can be used to supply paint to a paint applicator device by attaching an intake conduit of the paint applicator to the nozzle device. As paint is siphoned out of the container by the applicator device, the vent holes allow air to flow into the container to replace the volume of withdrawn paint.

摘要： A caulking gun having a push rod-formed by two interlocking chains. The caulking gun comprises a barrel having an open framework for receiving and cradling a caulk cartridge. A self-contained drive mechanism is provided to forwardly advance a chain arrangement comprising two separately coiled chains, each composed of a series of individual links connected in pivotable fashion one to another. The shape of the individual links of the two chains enables them to be interlocked as one parallel chain, forming a push-rod to compress the caulk cartridge, for extrusion of material contained therein. The coiled chains enable the chain arrangement to bend 180 degrees, so that the overall caulking gun length is reduced. The caulking gun is preferably made entirely from plastic. A caulk cartridge is retained within the barrel of the device by a pair of locking clips which may be closed by a sliding ring mechanism.
