Abstract: An applicator tool for coating a bore includes a tubular body and an inflatable bladder. The tubular body includes a proximal end and a distal end opposing the proximal end along a longitudinal axis. The tubular body also includes an expansion portion proximate the distal end and an internal volume in relation to the expansion portion. The inflatable bladder disposed within the internal volume of the tubular body in relation to the expansion portion. A method for coating a bore includes inserting an expansion portion of an applicator tool into the bore. A coating material having been previously disposed on the expansion portion. The method also includes applying a pressurized fluid to the applicator tool to expand the expansion portion within the bore and rotating the applicator tool to apply the coating material from the expansion portion to the bore. A system that includes the applicator tool is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for pre-treating a catheter prior to using the catheter in a medical procedure, and a related apparatus, are provided. Abstract: A spray rig for lining an interior surface of a pipe with a material. The spray rig includes a base, a motor, and a spray head. The spray head includes a mating component, a mixing chamber, a feed tube, an agitator, and a spray deflector. The mating component removably couples the spray head to the motor. The mixing chamber extends from the mating component and includes a plurality of slots. The feed tube extends from the mixing chamber and is configured to deliver the material to the mixing chamber. The motor is operable to rotate the agitator about an agitator axis to mix the material and to direct the material through the plurality of slots. The spray deflector is coupled to the agitator for rotation with the agitator and is configured to redirect the material from the mixing chamber and onto the interior surface of the pipe.

Abstract: A method of forming a coating on a food or beverage container, which includes spraying a coating composition onto an interior surface of the food or beverage container, where the coating composition includes a latex copolymer and a metal drier or crosslinking agent. The latex copolymer is a reaction product of monomers that include (a) one or more styrene-mimicking monomers containing one or more cyclic groups and one or more ethylenically-unsaturated groups, at least a portion of such styrene-mimicking monomers being polycyclic monomers containing ring unsaturation, and (b) one or more other ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. Preferably, the coating composition is substantially free of each of BPA, PVC, other halogenated monomers, and optionally styrene. The method may also include curing the sprayed coating composition, thereby providing the coating on the interior surface of the food or beverage container.

A hydrophilic polymeric coating layer may be chemically bonded to and propagated from terminal functional groups on the hydrophobic coating layer on the interior surfaces of the reservoir and dispensing device.
