摘要: A procedure for obtaining partially corrugated sheet metal (11) comprises the following work phases: provision of a roll of sheet metal (11) to feed a respective means of unrolling and transferring said sheet metal (11); compression of said sheet (11) in such a way as to produce a series of transverse corrugations alternating with flat sections on the sheet (11); transfer of said sheet (11) towards a press brake (16) to fold the sheet, parallel to the axis of the corrugations, in correspondence of the central portion of each flat section, and in the opposite direction with respect to the fold of the previous flat section in such a way as to obtain a coil of sheet metal (11) with corrugations on adjacent sides; extraction of the corrugated sheet (11) from the press brake (16) and shearing of said sheet (11) into pre-established lengths. Through such procedure it is possible to manufacture an improved air-air plate-type heat exchanger.

摘要: A method of affixing surface enlarging, transversally corrugated metal strips to elongate metal basic profiles which are advanced in the direction of their longitudinal axes while simultaneously being joined by a joining compound to the wave crests on one side of the corrugated metal strips. The method comprises the steps of heating the basic profile to a temperature which exceeds the melting point of the joining compound, advancing the metal strip longitudinally externally of the path of the basic profile while applying the joining compound to the crests and solidifying a suitable portion of the compound at respective crests by conducting heat away from the compound through the strip material, advancing the strip material with solidified joining compound on the crests of the corrugations thereof in side-by-side relationship with a heated basic profile, bringing the basic profile into contact with the coated crests to cause heat from the profile to melt the joining compound, and in conjunction with this latter step conducting heat away from the joining compound through the strip material to solidify the joining compound and to establish a joint between each crest and the basic profile.

摘要: Forming corrugations in pliable material, such as metallic sheet stock, including the steps of imparting an initial relatively widely spaced apart corrugations in a workpiece composed of this material, following which the workpiece is introduced between two sets of flexible rods or wires which are arranged to seat in the loops of the corrugations on opposite sides of the workpiece. Thereafter, each such workpiece is transported by sliding motion along the wires and at one or more stations therealong the workpiece is subjected to endwise compression causing contouring of the loops of the corrugations around the wires as mandrels to form a relatively densely corrugated article. The wires are capable of lateral displacement with respect to one another with the result that during endwise compression of the workpiece they will move closer together to accommodate the contraction of the workpiece and the reduced spacing of the convolutions.

摘要: The instant invention relates to a multi-stage stamping-bending method for introducing a primary and at least one secondary structure into a band-shaped metal foil, wherein, after passing through the multi-stage stamping-bending method, the metal foil encompasses at least two 180° bends between primary and at least one secondary structure along the wave train of the primary structure within one wave of the primary structure, in the case of which the primary structure is introduced into the metal foil during a first bending method step so as not to be formed completely in all of its areas, in the case of which the primary structure is embodied completely in its remaining areas during a subsequent second bending method steps and in the case of which the at least one secondary structure is introduced into the metal foil in a completely formed manner during a subsequent third bending method step, wherein the metal band passes through the method steps back-to-back.

摘要: A louver fin (11) has a corrugated shape by alternately forming bent portions (15) and flat portions (17) in a strip thin sheet (13). In the louver fin (11), a plurality of louvers (19, 21) cut and bent out of the flat portions (17) along the longitudinal direction Y of the strip thin sheet (13) are arranged parallel to each other along the width direction X of the strip thin sheet (13). In the louver fin (11) the louvers (18, 19) are cut and bent at an approximately same angle with respect to the longitudinal direction Y of the strip thin sheet (13).

摘要: The method for the zigzag-like folding of a strip-like foil includes the following steps in an advantageous embodiment: 1. prepleating, whereby a zigzag-like or wave-shaped folding is effected in which the folded edges are formed in cross-section as arcs with a radius of curvature greater than about 1 mm; 2. follow-up forming of each second folded edge in that a coining tool is used to influence the fold angle and to reduce the radius of curvature of the folded edge to a value smaller than 1 mm; 3. follow-up forming of the remaining folded edges in the same manner as during the second step. The follow-up forming steps are executed with tumble pressing devices which respectively include a rotatable toothed roll and a coining tool. The coining tool is drivable by means of an eccentric device and is connected via a pendulum axle with a vertically displaceable slider. The coining tool, in cooperation with a respective tooth of the roll, reduces the radius of curvature of a folded edge and can additionally influence the associated fold angle.

摘要: A process and apparatus for uniformly compressing pre-crimped electric conductive metal foil ribbon to achieve a high density of crimps per unit length and an increased ratio of crimp depth-to-pitch between successive crimps is disclosed. The apparatus forms an elongated passageway adapted to slidably receive a crimped foil ribbon therein. The bottom portion of a pre-crimped foil ribbon positioned in the passageway is releasably held in place. A probe is inserted through a slot in the cover plate on the apparatus into a crimp in the ribbon and the probe and crimps are moved toward the portion of the ribbon being held in place to compress the moved crimped portion.Release of holding pressure on the bottom portion of the foil ribbon allows the compressed foil to be advanced and the process is repeated until the desired length of compressed crimped foil is produced.
