    Abstract: A tool with a transmission having a reduction gearset and a speed selector. The speed selector has a member, an actuator and a shifter assembly. The member is movable between a first position, in which the member is non-rotatable, and a second position in which the member is coupled to a planet carrier of the reduction gearset for common rotation. The actuator includes a pivoting yoke and a follower that is coupled to the yoke. The follower engages the member so as to be axially movable with the follower. The shifter assembly has a selector switch, a switch fork, and a pair of springs. The selector switch is slidable between a first switch position and a second switch position. The shift fork is slidably coupled to the selector switch and receives the yoke. The springs cooperate to bias the shift fork relative to the selector switch into a neutral position.

    Abstract: A rotary cutting tool cleaning system, device, and method for cleaning debris and shavings from a rotary cutting tool such as a drill bit or reamer. The system includes at least one roller rotatably mounted in a cartridge, wherein the cartridge includes a rotary cutting tool opening in a top thereof for insertion of the rotary cutting tool into the cartridge. The rollers that remove the debris may be brushed rollers configured for axial rotational engagement with the rotary cutting tool. The system can be non-electric or, alternatively include a power supply that rotate the at least one roller.

    Abstract: A core drill includes: a motor having a rotor, which is rotatable relative to a stator about a rotational axis extending in the front-rear direction; a speed-reducing mechanism, which is disposed more forward than the stator; an output shaft, at least a portion of which is disposed more forward than the speed-reducing mechanism and which, in the state in which a core bit is mounted thereon, is rotated by the rotational force of the rotor transmitted via the speed-reducing mechanism; a battery-mounting part, on which a battery pack is mounted; a motor-housing part, which houses the motor; a grip part, at least a portion of which is disposed along the extension of the rotational axis more rearward than the motor-housing part; and a controller, which controls the motor. In the front-rear direction, at least a portion of the controller is disposed between the motor and the grip part.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a drill attachment device comprising a transfer gear configured to rotate about an axis perpendicular to the axis of a drill used to power the transfer gear. The transfer gear may comprise an open-ended slot which provides a passageway through which a threaded rod may pass. The open-ended slot may further be configured to retain a mechanical nut, enabling a user to run a threaded rod through the open-ended slot for driving the nut along the rod. The transfer gear may also support an external driver, and the drill attachment device may comprise guide slots configured to position the rod and/or nut against the external driver for driving a nut up or down rod.

    Abstract: A dust collector for use with a power tool comprises a housing, a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing, a suction fan positioned in the housing and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe, a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the fan, a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container, and a filter cleaning mechanism. The filter cleaning mechanism includes an anvil, a striker moveable between a first striker position, in which the striker is spaced from the anvil, and a second striker position, in which the striker is in contact with the anvil. The filter cleaning mechanism further includes an actuator moveable between a first actuator position and a second actuator position, in which the actuator is moved closer to the anvil than in the first position, and a first spring biasing the striker toward the anvil.
