摘要: A control system of gaseous flux for machining material of a workpiece in a machining area. The system comprises a module comprising an electric field chamber for producing and outputting ionized gaseous flux from input, preferably continuous, gaseous flow, and control and monitoring equipment at least functionally connected with the module. The control and monitoring equipment is configured to dynamically, optionally substantially continuously, estimate, measure and/or adjust, based on input sensing data, a number of flux characteristics including flow rate, polarity and/or ionization level, such as density of ionization, so as to provide and/or control, optionally stabilize, a number of reactions advantageously including electrochemical reactions in the machining area, optionally including neutralization of workpiece and machining tool electric charges, oxidation of workpiece or workpiece and tool interface, and/or reducing temperature at workpiece and tool surfaces and associated interface.

摘要: Some embodiments herein are directed to devices and methods for automatically starting a plasma utilizing a wand. In some embodiments, the wand may be used to start a plasma in a plasma torch such as, for example, a microwave plasma torch or an induction plasma torch, as discussed below. The wand may comprise an elongate, hollow wand member comprising a closed distal end, a proximal end, and one or more apertures extending from a hollow interior of the wand member to an exterior surface of the wand member; and an elongate wire member positioned within the hollow interior of the wand member and extending along at least a portion of a length of the wand member, wherein the wire member is configured to be placed in operable communication through the aperture with a power source, such that the power source can be activated to in turn start the plasma within the plasma torch. The plasma torches discussed herein may be used in various applications including, for example, high volume synthesis of advanced materials such as nano-materials, micro-powders, coatings, alloy compositions for additive manufacturing.

摘要: A 3D-cutter and a method for controlling a 3D-cutter are disclosed. The 3D-cutter includes a tiltable torch which is able to produce a cutting beam and a conveyor having a conveyor support surface with gap extending in Y-direction. The tiltable torch is moveable in both X-direction and Y-direction as well as Z-direction. Conventionally, the X-position of the entrance point or exit point of the beam in the sheet blank is kept constant relative to the gap, namely centrally between the upstream and the downstream gap edges and the sheet blank is moved back and forth in X-direction by the conveyor to form 3-dimensionally shaped bevel cuts. The X-position of the entrance point or exit point of the beam in the sheet blank may be varied relative to the gap. Thus, smaller workpieces may be produced.

摘要: Various embodiments may be generally directed to a welding system that monitors an output of the welding system to determine if an output arc should be extinguished or maintained. The welding system can compare an arc voltage output to a voltage threshold and a temporal threshold. When the arc voltage output exceeds the voltage threshold in an uninterrupted manner for the duration of the temporal threshold, an output weld current can be stopped. In turn, the output arc can be broken or extinguished. After a predetermined amount of time, the power source can be re-engaged to prepare for re-ignition of another arc. By tracking the amount of time the arc voltage output exceeds the predetermined threshold, a probability of unwanted arc outs can be reduced or minimized while still providing quick and reliable arc breaking when desired.

摘要: A method for cutting side plates and end plates of a scrapped railway boxcar aims to improve low disassembling efficiency as it is difficult to disassemble the scrapped railway boxcar. The steps of cutting the side plates includes: A1: cutting a top of an upper side plate; A2: performing cutting downwards, dividing the upper side plate, and then cutting the left upper side plate; A3: cutting the right upper side plate; A4: cutting a lower side plate; A5: cutting off upper channel steel on columns; A6: cutting off lower channel steel on the columns; and A7: cutting the columns. The method avoids complicated working conditions of directly cutting angle iron, the channel steel, multilayer boards and closed regions, so that the cutting efficiency of the side plates and the end plates of the boxcars is improved. Moreover, automatic cutting can be realized according to a set cutting path.
