摘要: Embodiments of an enclosure including a substrate having an anti-fingerprint surface are disclosed. The anti-fingerprint surface may include a textured surface, a coated surface or a coated textured surface that exhibits a low fingerprint visibility, when a fingerprint is applied to the anti-fingerprint surface. In one or more embodiments, the enclosure exhibits any one of the following attributes (1) radio, and microwave frequency transparency, as defined by a loss tangent of less than 0.03 and at a frequency range of between 15 MHz to 3.0 GHz; (2) infrared transparency; (3) a fracture toughness of greater than 0.6 MPa·m1/2; (4) a 4-point bend strength of greater than 350 MPa; (5) a Vickers hardness of at least 450 kgf/mm2 and a Vickers median/radial crack initiation threshold of at least 5 kgf; (6) a Young's Modulus in the range from about 50 GPa to about 100 GPa; and (7) a thermal conductivity of less than 2.0 W/m° C.

摘要: A decontamination apparatus for decontaminating an external surface is provided. The decontamination apparatus has a moveable platform and a containment structure mounted on the moveable platform. The containment structure has at least one aperture and a respective contact surface arranged around the perimeter of the aperture. The contact surface is arranged to make contact with the external surface to define a working volume, when the containment structure is positioned proximal to the external surface. The decontamination apparatus includes a decontamination device arranged to decontaminate the external surface. The decontamination device is arranged within the working volume and arranged to access the external surface through the at least one aperture. There is also a vacuum system for generating a partial vacuum in the containment structure to apply a suction force to the external surface.

摘要: The invention relates to increasing a concentration of particles (92) in a circumferentially enclosed stream (90) of a fluid mixed with the particles in a target area (90ct) of a cross-section (90c) of the stream transverse to a flow direction (90f) of the stream. Deflecting surfaces (31.1, 31.2, 31.3) are arranged in the stream to extend over respective angular zones (30α1, 30α2, 30α3) with respect to an axis (la) through the target part. The deflecting surfaces slant in the flow direction in a direction from the circumference of the stream towards the target area, and define angularly in between them multiple bypass openings (32.1, 32.2, 32.3) which extend over angular zones complementary (30β1, 30β2, 30β3) to the angular zones over which the deflecting surfaces extend, and which are larger than the particles. The deflecting surfaces deflect at least a part of the particles inwardly towards the axis. A target part (90t) of the stream with the target cross-section around the axis is discharged through an outlet (20), and a remaining part (90r) is discharged through the openings, between the target part and the circumference of the stream, such as to discharge the stream as composed of the target part and the remaining part. The invention relates to an assembly comprising a circumferential enclosure and a particle concentrating device, a particle concentrating device, a concentrator element, a method for increasing a concentration of particles, a method for directional drilling and the use of the assembly.

摘要: Described herein is a method for recycling aluminum alloy wheels. The method includes the steps of providing a feed of aluminum alloy wheels of a particular alloy; fragmenting a quantity of the aluminum alloy wheels into a plurality of fragments; subjecting the plurality of fragments to shot blasting to remove surface impurities from the plurality of fragments to produce a plurality of shot blasted pieces; separating the plurality of shot blasted pieces into a plurality of larger shot blasted pieces and a plurality of smaller shot blasted pieces; and, providing the plurality of larger shot blasted pieces for use in producing a recycled aluminum alloy, without providing the plurality of smaller shot blasted pieces for use in producing that recycled aluminum alloy.

摘要: Water-jet cleaning system and a method of cleaning a heat exchanger. The equipment includes a rotary tool having a lance with at least two degrees of freedom. The lance's movements relative to openings defined in the heat exchanger face plate are controlled via a smart indexing controller. The controller includes an electronic communication device that is specifically programmed to selectively activate various components of the rotary tool and a water delivery system. The programming utilizes an observed, learned, or uploaded pattern of the heat exchanger tube openings to selectively rotate the lance relative to the rotary tool's mounting assembly or linearly move the lance towards or away from the mounting assembly. The controller moves the lance to align a nozzle thereon with a selected opening in the face plate and then delivers a high pressure water jet therethrough.

摘要: A system and method for cleaning of heat exchanger tubes including an assembly, an indexer, and a communication device provided with specialized software and programming. The indexer includes orthogonally arranged first and second arms. A trolley and sensors are provided on the indexer arms. One or more lances are provided on the trolley to deliver water jets into the openings. Sensors measure displacement as the trolley is moved relative to the heat exchanger's face plate. An operator controls the system from a distance away using the communication device. During setup, the pattern of the face plate is learned and mapped utilizing information from the sensors as one of the inputs. This information is utilized to help navigate the face plate during a subsequent cleaning operation. A kit for retrofitting existing X-Y indexers is also disclosed.

摘要: The present application includes methods, apparatuses, and systems for cleaning an aluminum wheel. In particular instances, a method of treating an exterior surface of an aluminum vehicle wheel comprising: blasting the exterior surface a first occurrence for a first duration at a first velocity using blasting media; blasting the exterior surface a second occurrence for a second duration at a second velocity using blasting media after blasting the exterior surface for a first duration, the second velocity being substantially lower than the first velocity; and, arranging the vehicle wheel in contact with vibratory finishing media and vibrating the vehicle wheel with the vibratory finishing media for a duration after blasting the exterior surface in each of the first and second occurrences.
