摘要： An apparatus and method for installing an aircraft bulkhead connector with a bulkhead is disclosed where access to only one side of the bulkhead is required. The disclosure is also applicable to installation of bulkhead connectors in aircraft fuel tanks. An aircraft bulkhead connector and installation tool is also disclosed. The bulkhead connector includes a female end portion and the installation tool includes a male end portion. The male end portion of the installation tool is removably engaged with the female end portion of the bulkhead connector, such that the installation tool protrudes beyond the female end portion of the bulkhead connector. The installation tool may be inserted through an aperture in a bulkhead and used to both position and hold the bulkhead connector during the installation process.

摘要： Disclosed herein is an expandable device adapted to forcibly separate spaced components having generally parallel opposed surfaces defining a cavity therebetween, the expandable device having a jaw assembly with a pair of opposing jaws and actuating means for opening the jaws, the actuating means including a separating member configured to be driven between the jaws so as to push apart the jaws such that the jaws are openable between a contracted configuration where the jaws are receivable in the cavity to an expanded configuration where the jaws are forced apart by the actuating means such that the outwardly directed surfaces of the jaws are engageable with the opposed surfaces and exert oppositely directed forces thereon. Also disclosed herein is an apparatus configured to carry at least one said expandable device, and an assembly comprising two said apparatus.

摘要： An adjustment device to align a plurality of tube sections is disclosed. The device comprises at least two sheave sections fixedly attached to a threaded shaft via a socket assembly, wherein the threaded shaft substantially extends in a longitudinal direction to meet a base plate. An adjusting means positioned at an upper end of the threaded shaft is configured to radially align the base plate along the confronting ends of the tube sections via a plurality of wire rope wound around the sheave section. The adjusting means comprises a socket and a ratchet to adjust the device to align the tube sections and the plurality of wire rope (conform a basket hitch) the confronting ends of the tube sections for alignment in a limited room for space.

摘要： A gasket insertion apparatus and method for inserting a fluid sealing gasket between the bolted connection flanges of adjacent underwater pipe line segments is provided. The gasket insertion apparatus includes of a flat frame having an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface. The inner peripheral surface of the frame has a plurality of angularly cut teeth. The gasket is mounted within the frame and is held in place by the plurality of angularly cut teeth. The gasket insertion apparatus has a handle with an open geometric ring-shaped grip that is configured so that the gasket insertion apparatus may be gripped by a manipulation arm of an underwater remotely operated vehicle and/or by a diver. The apparatus, with gasket attached, is brought to an underwater location and inserted between adjacent flanges of a bolted flange connection by a diver or an underwater remotely operated vehicle.
