摘要: A mold for use in the production of a ballistic article from a composite laminate stacked material wherein the mold has a sliding sealing section that nests with a outer permitter section and base portion so as to shield the sides of the composite laminate stacked material from applied isostatic pressure applied when in an autoclave. By shielding the sides of the composite laminate stacked material excess resin matrix material can be forced from the composite laminate stacked material to provide a uniform composite article with reduced weight and reduced thickness.

摘要: A shaping system comprises a dispensing station configured to dispense formable material on a substrate, a shaping station configured to contact the dispensed formable material on the substrate with a plate, a positioning system configured to move the substrate having the dispensed formable material from the dispensing system to the shaping station, and a cover having one or more walls. While the substrate having the dispensed formable material is moved by the positioning system from the dispensing station to the shaping station, the cover is positioned to enclose the substrate and the dispensed formable material such that a ratio of a diameter of the substrate to a distance between the cover and the substrate to 80:1 to 30:1.

摘要: Methods and structures are disclosed. An example method includes: rotating a tubular mandrel about a longitudinal axis of the tubular mandrel; depositing a composite material on an inner surface of the tubular mandrel to form a composite tubular member on the inner surface of the tubular mandrel; inserting and expanding an inner expandable mandrel within the composite tubular member to cause the inner expandable mandrel to press the composite tubular member against the inner surface of the tubular mandrel; curing the composite tubular member; removing the inner expandable mandrel; placing a frame within the composite tubular member; and removing the tubular mandrel so as to obtain the composite tubular member with the frame placed therein.

摘要: A method for forming cellulose products from an air-formed cellulose blank having a base and one or more forming moulds attached to the base which is arranged to rotate around a rotational axis, wherein each forming mould comprises a first mould part Wand a corresponding second mould part wherein during rotational movement of the base around the rotational axis each first mould part is arranged to engage with its corresponding second mould part in a pressing direction. The method comprises arranging the cellulose blank in a position between a first mould and the second mould forming the cellulose products in the rotary forming mould system, by applying a forming pressure between the first mould and its corresponding second mould through an engaging movement of the first mould in relation to its corresponding second mould in the pressing direction, wherein the forming moulds are rotating with the base around the rotational axis.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a cellulose product, comprising the steps: dry forming a cellulose blank in a dry forming unit; arranging the cellulose blank in a forming mould; heating the cellulose blank to a forming temperature in the range of 100° C. to 200° C.; and pressing the cellulose blank in the forming mould with a forming pressure of at least 1 MPa.
