摘要: An apparatus for producing a fiber-reinforced injection molded component includes an injection mold half with a mold cavity and a receiving chamber open to the mold cavity. A band section of a fiber-reinforced plastics band is fed into the receiving chamber through a feed channel and a first clamping device arranged in an initial region of the receiving chamber and a second clamping device arranged in an end region of the receiving chamber clamp the fiber-reinforced plastics band section within the receiving chamber. A first cut-through device arranged in the initial region of the receiving chamber and a second cut-through device arranged in the end region of the receiving chamber cut the band section such that an injection molded component formed in the cavity of the mold includes the cut fiber-reinforced plastics band section and a fiber-reinforced injection molded component is provided.

摘要: A method of producing a pre-impregnated fibrous material including a fibrous material of continuous fibres and a thermoplastic polymer matrix, wherein the pre-impregnated fibrous material is produced in a single unidirectional strip or in a plurality of parallel unidirectional strips, the method including the following steps: (i) impregnating the fibrous material in the form of a strand or a plurality of parallel strands with the thermoplastic polymer in the form of a powder in a fluid bed; and (ii) shaping the strand or parallel strands of the fibrous material impregnated as in step (i) by calendering by at least one heating calender in the form of a single unidirectional strip or of a plurality of parallel unidirectional strips, the heating calender, in the latter case, including a plurality of calendering grooves, and the pressure and/or a spacing between the rollers of the calender being regulated by an auxiliary system.

A production method for fiber-reinforced plastic, having: a step in which a material (A) (100) including a prepreg base material is obtained, said prepreg base material having cuts therein and having a thermoplastic resin impregnated in reinforcing fibers (110) arranged in parallel in one direction; a step in which a pressurizing device is used that applies a substantially uniform pressure in a direction (X) orthogonal to the travel direction of the material (A) (100) and the material (A) (100) is caused to travel in the one direction and is pressurized while being heated to a prescribed temperature (T), an angle (.theta.) of −20-20 .degree. being formed between the orthogonal direction (X) and a fiber axial direction (Y) for the reinforcing fibers (110) of the prepreg base material; and a step in which the material (A) (100) pressurized by the pressurizing device is cooled and the fiber-reinforced plastic is obtained.

摘要: A composite rotatable assembly for an axial flow compressor comprises a spool having a plurality of blade assemblies arranged in stages on the spool and attached thereto by a wound band. Each blade assembly comprises a blade and a base, with the base having a forward tang extending axially forward of a leading edge of the blade and an aft tang extending axially aft of a trailing edge of the blade. The band is wound over at least a portion of the forward and aft tangs of the plurality of blade assemblies to hold the blade assemblies to the spool under centrifugal loading. An abradable layer may be added over the wound band.

The method for producing the tank, which includes winding fiber bundles containing an uncured resin component in multiple layers around the outer surface of a liner in a first pitch width so as to form a fiber reinforced resin layer, further includes: winding fiber bundles in a second pitch width wider than the first pitch width so as to form a gap with a required width where no fiber bundle is present between adjacent fiber bundles in winding the fiber bundles to form an outermost layer; shaving off a tip end portion of a projection made of a resin that has cured after bleeding into the gap, with a portion of the projection in a predetermined height left unshaved; and attaching a label to a surface obtained through shaving off the tip end portion.

摘要: An improved sucker rod and the method of making is set forth herein. The improved sucker rod is used in well drilling to connect a pump present at a well casing to a motor and drive for a pump present at a well head. The method of making the improved sucker includes coating strands of sucker rod material with a mixture of epoxy and graphene platelets, bonding them together, and then extruding them through a pultrusion machine. The resulting improved sucker rod has increased flexibility, durability, corrosion resistance, and strength.

摘要: Provided are composite feedstock strips for additive manufacturing and methods of forming such strips. A strip may include continuous fibers extending parallel to the principal axis of the strip. The cross-sectional distribution of these continuous fibers may be uneven. Specifically, the fibers may be concentrated near the center of the strip and may be positioned away from at least some portions of the strip surface. A strip may be formed by laminating a layup of one or more fiber-containing plies and one or more of resin plies. The position of the different types of plies in the layup is used to control distribution of the fibers and other materials within the strip. The laminated sheet is slit into multiple strips in a direction parallel to the continuous fibers. The cross-sectional profile of the slit strips may be later changed without disturbing orientation of the continuous fibers.
