Abstract: A casting shell for producing a filter element with a filter body and a seal or end disk has a receiving shell with a groove and a support surface. The groove receives casting material. The support surface supports the filter body during casting. A cover is provided with at least two cover parts arranged so as to be movable separately from each other relative to the receiving shell. The cover parts open the groove in a first position and in a second position, with the filter body inserted as intended in the casting shell, cover the groove. A bottom side of the cover parts faces in the second position a cavity formed by the groove. The bottom side molds a seal or function surface of the seal or end disk. A casting device is provided with such a casting shell. A method using such a casting shell is provided.

Abstract: According to some aspects, a method is provided of removing debris from a liquid photopolymer in an additive fabrication device. According to some embodiments, a mesh of solid material may be formed in an additive fabrication device from a liquid photopolymer, and particles of debris present in the liquid photopolymer may adhere to the mesh. The debris may thereby be removed from the liquid photopolymer by removing the mesh from the additive fabrication device. The mesh may then be discarded.

Abstract: A fabrication method for a water-absorbent filter includes obtaining a homogenized tragacanth suspension by dissolving tragacanth in a solvent, where the solvent may include distilled water, ethyl acetate, acetic acid, and formic acid, obtaining a support layer by coating a stainless steel mesh with a thin layer of a hydrophobic polymer, coating a stainless steel mesh with the thin layer of the hydrophobic polymer comprising electrospinning a hydrophobic polymer solution onto the stainless steel mesh, forming a tragacanth nanofibrous web on the support layer by electrospinning the homogenized tragacanth suspension onto the support layer, and cross-linking the tragacanth nanofibrous web by exposing the tragacanth nanofibrous web to a saturated vapor of a cross-linking agent.

Abstract: Separating membrane of plastic material, made up of a bossed and waterproof sheet which is coupled with a permeable base layer. The bosses are of the cylindrical type with a double diameter and have such a shape and arrangement as to feature improved adhesion on both faces. The gripping of the adhesive is increased in order to obtain greater tear strength, on the upper face, and at the same time increases the area of contact with the base layer for a greater resistance to delamination on the lower face. In particular, inside each chamber there is an internal crown, which divides it like a necking into two superimposed compartments having the same diameter, wherein the first compartment has a depth amounting to at least ⅓ of the total. A production process for obtaining the membrane is also disclosed.
