Abstract:
A corrugated plastic box and a method for manufacturing a corrugated plastic box from a blank are provided. The method includes the steps of forming rounded edge seals on the perimeter edges of the blank, pre-sealing portions of the blank to form a plurality of areas in which major and minor flap slots and a glue tab are desired, ultrasonically scoring the blank to form a plurality of flap score lines, and cutting the blank through the plurality of pre-sealed flap slots and glue tab, leaving a sealed edge.
Abstract:
A method and device for supplying spout attachment bags, in which one vertical plane is set as a reference plane N, and the center line (C) of a corner-spout attachment bag (2) positioned at the distal end of a conveyor magazine (7) is located in the reference plane N. A suction cup (28) picks up the bag and is rotated by a specific angle (θ) centered on a vertical rotational axis (O) when being transferred. When the suction cup picks up the positioned bag, the rotational axis is set to a position where a corner opening vertical line (M) that passes through the center of a corner opening (3) of the bag intersects the reference plane N. The bag held by the suction cup is sent to a positioning conveyor and positioned by stoppers (52, 53) with the corner opening vertical line being in the reference plane.
Abstract:
In a device for shaping a flat blank (46) made of cardboard into a container (48), comprising a shaping tool (50) and a ram (10) which can be moved in a primary shaping direction (z) into the shaping tool (50) so as to erect the flat blank by means of the shaping tool (50), at least two lateral walls (18) which can be pivoted about a respective pivot axis (s) located transversely relative to the primary shaping direction (z) are hinged to the ram (10), whereby a main surface defined by the free end edges (19) of the lateral walls (18) can be adjusted. In order to carry out a pivoting motion, the lateral walls (18) are seated in a non-positively sliding manner against wedge elements (28) by means of pretensioned spring elements (22, 24), the wedge elements being displaceable in the primary shaping direction (z).
Abstract:
A corrugated paperboard box making machine, which includes: a slotter for slotting a corrugated paperboard sheet to form slots; a die-cutter disposed downstream of the slotter, the die-cutter including a die cylinder with a punching die and an anvil cylinder; a cutting blade for cutting, in cooperation with the anvil cylinder, the corrugated paperboard sheet slotted by the slotter, into two small-size corrugated paperboard sheets, along a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction; and a displacement mechanism for displacing the cutting blade as to allow the cutting blade to be selectively set in a cutting position and a non-cutting position.
Abstract:
An apparatus for forming a container comprises a hopper assembly configured to store a plurality of blanks. Each blank includes a bottom panel, a pair of opposing end panels, at least one stacking tab, at least one inner side panel, and at least one outer side panel. A transport mechanism is positioned below the hopper assembly and is configured to transport a blank of the plurality of blanks from a first position to a second position. A pair of opposing folding plows is positioned below the hopper assembly. The folding plows are configured to rotate the inner side panels and the stacking tabs of the blank as the blank is transported from the first position to the second position. At least one stacking tab bullet is coupled to each folding plow. Each stacking tab bullet is configured to move a respective stacking tab relative to a corresponding inner side panel.
Abstract:
An apparatus for producing bags from tubular material having fabric made of stretched plastic strips has at least one tube-forming device or a tube-unwinding device, by which tubular material for producing bags can be produced from web-shaped material and in which the tubular material, can be conveyed in a transport direction (x′), at least one tube-separating device, by which tube pieces can be separated from the tubular material, a bottom-forming device, by which bottoms can be molded onto at least one end of a tube piece, and at least one transport device for transporting the tube pieces within the bottom-forming device in a transport direction (x) extending transversely to their direction of extension (y) The transport direction (x′) of the tubular material in the tube-forming device or the tube-unwinding device and the transport direction (x) of the tube pieces in the transport device are parallel to each other.
Abstract:
Methods of incrementally stretching thermoplastic films in the machine direction include elongating the films in the machine direction without reducing the films' machine-direction tear resistance. In one or more implementations, methods of incrementally stretching thermoplastic films include reducing the gauge of the films without reducing the films' machine-direction tear resistance. The methods can involve cold stretching the films and imparting transverse-direction extending linear rib pattern into the film. The linear ribs can have alternating thick and thin gauges. Incrementally stretched thermoplastic films can have a machine-direction tear resistance that is approximately equal to or greater than the machine-direction tear resistance of the film prior to stretching.
