摘要： An automatic core joiner and cutter apparatus for use in the recycling of used cores and the manufacture of new conjoined cores is disclosed. The apparatus combines an infeed unit, a milling unit, and an outfeed unit, all controlled by a PC. The used core is milled by the infeed milling bit and the core remnant is milled by the outfeed milling bit. A glue applicator applies glue to at least one of the milled surfaces and the milled surfaces are mated together to produce a new conjoined core. The infeed cutting and milling operations and the outfeed cutting and milling operations are controlled by the controller and performed at the same time.

A shell of resin is pultruded onto the outer surface of the tube. Various resins can be used, including polyesters, vinyl esters, thermosetting epoxy resins, and others. The shell can optionally include reinforcing fibers, which can be short fibers or substantially continuous fibers oriented in various orientations relative to the paperboard tube. The reinforcing fibers can be in the form of rovings or fiber mats or woven fabrics. The shell's inner surface conforms to the circular outer surface of the tube and is intimately bonded thereto. The outer surface of the shell is defined by the pultrusion die to be non-circular in cross-section. Various non-circular shapes can be provided at the outer surface of the shell.

摘要： The invention provides a novel apparatus for manufacturing electronic parts each incorporating a plurality of lead wires fully wrapped with conductive foil like noise filters for example. A turn table is intermittently shifted from the first work station to the seventh work station in the state in which an individual-unit lead-wire member is retained by a holding unit on the turn table. A predetermined lead wire is folded by respective work stations, whereas the remaining lead wires are adhered with conductive foil tapes via spot-welding process, and then these lead wires are fully wrapped with conductive foil tapes. Next, the predetermined lead wire is restored to the initial posture, and then all the lead wires are fully wrapped with insulation tapes. In this way, all the lead wires are properly processed so that they can be integrated in perfect alignment with constant pitches.

摘要： An apparatus for forming a cylinder is disclosed. It is useful, for example, for forming cylindrical battery can separator liners from a continuous strip of paper liner stock. The apparatus includes a forming tube having a receiving chamber that is defined by the inner surface of an outer tubular member and the outer surface of a central cylindrical member. The outer tubular member has at least one transverse opening that is constructed to permit the extension therethrough of a friction element to engage the liner in the receiving chamber as said forming tube is moved from said receiving station toward the eject station to thereby wind the liner up into cylindrical configuration by catching the liner between the friction element and the central cylindrical member. After the liner has been wound up into a cylinder, ejection means ejects the liner from the forming tube, for instance, into a battery can.

摘要： Apparatus for impregnating longitudinally travelling corrugated board having transversely extending flutes, including suction means arranged adjacent one longitudinal edge of the board for establishing a vacuum in the flutes to draw a material, such as an impregnant, therethrough. The invention is characterized by the provision of retaining means for preventing undesirable lateral displacement of the board in the direction of the suction means. In the preferred embodiment, the retaining means comprise longitudinally extending endless belt means responsive to the vacuum established in the flutes for clamping the moving board against lateral displacement without crushing the flutes or causing damage to the board. Preferably the endless belt means are provided with longitudinal ribs that extend within corresponding grooves in the rollers upon which the belts are mounted, thereby preventing lateral movement of the belt meansand the board-relative to the rollers. In accordance with an important feature of the invention, flow control means are provided for accurately controlling the speed and/or extent of longitudinal penetration of the material through the flutes.
