    Abstract: In a first aspect, a polymer composition includes a first polymer derived from a soluble polymer composition having an imide group and a Tg reducing compound having an amine group. The first polymer has a glass transition temperature that is lower than a second polymer derived from the same soluble polymer composition, but without a Tg reducing compound having an amine group. In a second aspect, a coating solution includes a soluble polymer having an imide group and a Tg reducing compound having an amine moiety that can be an amine or a first masked amine that can be converted to an amine, wherein the first masked amine can be chemically converted, thermally converted, photo-converted or dissociated.

    Abstract: A barrier composite has a barrier layer that is water resistant, and adhesive for applying the barrier composite to an external wall surface and an integral release layer to allow the adhesive to release such that a roll or barrier composite can be unspooled and attached directly the said wall surface without removing a release liner. A barrier composite may also include a plurality of stand-offs extending to an exterior surface of the barrier composite and configured to allow precipitation that has passed through the outer shingles to flow down along the barrier composite. The integral release layer may be configured on, in or over the stand-offs. The stand-offs may be configured with a material that prevents the adhesive from adhering or that splits or fractures to produce stand-off deposits. Alternatively, the adhesive may be configured to wick into the stand-offs and then split producing adhesive deposits on the stand-offs.

    Abstract: Provided is a transparent heat-resistant laminated film that has a sufficiently smooth surface to be used as a substrate in a flexible device, and that has excellent handling properties and suppressed warping. A transparent heat-resistant laminated film characterized by having an (a) layer, a (b) layer, and a blending layer located at the interface between the (a) layer and the (b) layer, the thickness of the blending layer being 3 μm or greater.
    (a) layer: A layer that contains a polyimide composition.
    (b) layer: A layer that contains a polyimide composition and that has a higher inorganic filler content than the (a) layer.
