    Abstract: The invention relates to a gluing device, for gluing brick slips, a system for gluing brick slips and a method for gluing brick slips, for example for providing brickwork veneer. Gluing device comprising: —a support; —a glue container that extends from a first end to a second end, wherein the glue container is operatively connected to the support; —a discharge nozzle that is operatively connected to the first end of the glue container and that is provided with a discharge opening; and —a plunger that, during use of the device, is positioned in the glue container and that is provided with a drive side facing the first end of the glue container and a press side facing the second end of the glue container, and wherein the plunger is operatively connected to the support, wherein the plunger and the container are connected to the support and wherein one of the plunger and the container is moveably connected to the support with respect to the other of the plunger and the container, such that the plunger and the container are moveable relative to each other.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a position-controlled lamination tool or press that includes an array or plurality of pressure sensors and an array or plurality of heating/cooling elements or components, which may be coupled together, for preventing or reducing laminating film or material bleed out and improving thickness variation performance. The pressure sensors may provide a controller, which is coupled to the lamination tool, with real-time feedback on any thickness variations across a substrate panel and the controller may adjust the temperature output of the heating and cooling elements to locally modify the viscosity of the laminating material in one or more regions of the substrate panel to either decrease or increase the flowability of the laminating material.

    Abstract: A layered body containing continuous sheets is thermally fused when passing through a space between an anvil roll and an energy applying device to form a layered sheet. A nip stage for sandwiching the layered body is provided upstream of the space between the anvil roll and the energy applying device. The nip stage includes at least one displacement member which is displaced in accordance with the thickness of the layered body sandwiched by the nip stage. Whether the thickness of the layered body sandwiched by the nip stage has deviated from a reference range is detected on the basis of the displacement of the displacement member, and when it is detected that the thickness has deviated from the reference range, the energy applying device is caused to retreat in a direction going away from the anvil roll.

    Abstract: A sheet laminator includes a thermal fixing roller pair, a first heater, a second heater, multiple temperature detectors, and a driver. The thermal fixing roller pair includes a first thermal fixing roller and a second thermal fixing roller facing the first thermal fixing roller. The thermal fixing roller pair thermally fixes and conveys a two-ply sheet and a sheet medium nipped between two sheets of the two-ply sheet. The first heater heats the first thermal fixing roller. The second heater heats the second thermal fixing roller. The multiple temperature detectors are at different positions along an axial direction of the thermal fixing roller pair. The multiple temperature detectors detect a surface temperature of the thermal fixing roller pair. The driver drives the thermal fixing roller pair.
