摘要: Disclosed are a hot melt tape for hook-and-loop fasteners without sewing which may be adhered at a low temperature and complete hardening of an adhesive resin in a short time and a method for manufacturing a seat padding material for vehicles using the same. The method includes preparing the padding material and a hook-and-loop fabric, preparing a hot melt tape having a hot melt resin layer by coating a surface of a release paper with a reactive hot melt resin having a melting point of 40-80° C. before reacting, adhering the hot melt tape to a surface of the padding material by applying heat of a temperature of 30-70° C. and pressure thereto, removing the release paper, adhering the hook-and-loop fabric to the exposed hot melt resin layer, and hardening the hot melt resin layer by cooling the padding material and the hook-and-loop fabric to a temperature of 0-20° C.

摘要: Thermoformed polymeric foam articles and methods of forming the same are described. In some embodiments, thermoformed articles are produced from multi-layer foamed sheet where the formed article has a density equal to or less than the precursor multi-layer sheet. One of the layers of the thermoformed article may be a polymer foam layer having a density reduction between 5% and 50% as compared to the solid polymer. Such polymer foam layers can be referred to as “medium density” or “high density” foams. Advantageously, the methods described herein are practical for commercial use and, for example, can be used to produce a variety of thermoformed articles suitable for use in many different applications.

摘要: A laminate can include one or more thermally-insulative layers, each having a thermal conductivity that is less than or equal to 0.05 W/m·K, wherein the laminate has a thickness that is less than or equal to 500 μm and a thermal diffusivity that is less than or equal to 0.10 mm2/s. The laminate can include an adhesive layer, wherein aback surface of the laminate is at least partially defined by the adhesive layer or a liner layer that is removably disposed on the adhesive layer. The laminate can include a protective layer that defines at least a portion of a front surface of the laminate, wherein the protective layer has a thermal conductivity that is at least 3.5 times the thermal conductivity of each of the thermally-insulative layer(s).

The wood substitute material is a durable, eco-friendly, and cost-effective alternative to wood. Additionally, the wood substitute material is distinguishable in that it has insulating properties. Constructed thermoplastic polymer layers may be combined to be used in various applications such as furniture, cabinetry, shelving, countertops, construction, flooring, and as a substitute for wood in other wood-based products. Construction and creation of these materials provides a solution to the growing problem of deforestation and the increasing numbers of plastic products filling the world's landfills.

摘要: A method of forming an active self-transformable material includes providing a flexible base material and disposing an active material on one or more surfaces of the flexible base material or within the flexible base material in a specific pattern to form a combined structure having a natural shape, wherein the active material is a material that is reactive to exposure to an external stimulus trigger, wherein the flexible base material is non-reactive to the external stimulus trigger, minimally reactive to the external stimulus trigger, or reactive to the external stimulus trigger differently than the active material, and wherein exposure of at least a portion of the specific pattern of the active material to the external stimulus trigger changes the shape of the combined structure from the natural shape into a predetermined 3-dimensional transformed shape.
