摘要: A composite structural panel for use in bridge structures, and method of manufacturing same, comprises a top panel and a bottom panel separated by and attached to at least one, but preferably a plurality, of structural composite preforms which may be fabricated by a continuous manufacturing process and may be saturated by resin using a continuous wetting process. The composite preforms may take any cross-sectional shape but are preferably trapezoidal. The top and bottom panels may be fabricated from a plurality of layers of woven fabric layers and non-woven fabric layers which are saturated with a resin that is subsequently cured using cure processes known in the art. The composite structural panel of the invention is usable as a flat structural member for use as bridge decking, ramps, trestles, and any application requiring a structural panel.

摘要: A skin material includes: a design layer; and a base cloth layer. The design layer includes a surface layer and a foam layer. The base cloth layer includes a surface fabric and a back fabric, and a binding yarn that binds the surface fabric and the back fabric. The binding yarn is a thermoplastic resin fiber erected between the surface fabric and the back fabric to form a gap between the surface fabric and the back fabric. The foam layer and the surface fabric are joined. An interior material includes the skin material and a base material to which the skin material is attached. A method for producing the skin material includes joining the surface layer and the base cloth layer via a foamable adhesive to serve as the foam layer.

摘要: A molded ceiling material for vehicles having a substrate layer containing a porous core layer, a surface member and a ventilation control mechanism to control the ventilation volume that is vented from a cabin side of the surface member to the substrate layer. Sound generated in the vehicle cabin is absorbed by the substrate layer through the ventilation control mechanism. That is, the molded ceiling material is equipped with sound-absorption performance for sound from the cabin side of the vehicle. If the sound-absorption rate is increased, the ventilation volume to the substrate layer is increased. If the sound-absorption rate is decreased, the ventilation volume to the substrate layer is reduced. The sound-absorption rate of the molded ceiling material can be controlled regardless of the thickness of the substrate layer. Consequently, the molded ceiling materials for vehicles can be provided with sound-absorption performance corresponding to the sound-absorption characteristics of the vehicle.

摘要: The present invention provides a resin composition comprising maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin and article made therefrom. The resin composition comprises: 100 weight parts of vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin; 35 to 45 weight parts of bis(vinylphenyl)ethane; and 30 to 60 weight parts of maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin; wherein the maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin is obtained by pre-polymerization of aromatic maleimide resin and long chain maleimide resin. The articles made from the resin composition improve at least one characteristic of glass transition temperature variation, copper foil peeling strength, percentage of thermal expansion, coefficient of thermal expansion and surface appearance.

摘要: Tows of fiber are mingled with resin, wrapped in layers on a mandrel, and the layers are adhered to each other and cured on the mandrel. After all layers have been wrapped and adhered to each other and cured, thereby forming a fabric panel, the fabric panel is cut along the length of the mandrel and peeled from the mandrel. The length of the fabric panel then is wrapped around a roll. In other words, the roll is shorter than the mandrel and, with respect to the fabric panel, the roll is oriented perpendicular to the mandrel. Fibers in different layers of the fabric panel may be disposed at different angles with respect to the length of the fabric panel. Two, three, four, five, or more layers may be provided on the fabric panel.

A composite guide vane comprises a body having a longitudinal axis and including a composite laminate made of an assembly of layers of a first fibrous composite material. The composite laminate defines a mid portion of the body for interacting with a fluid and an end portion of the body disposed axially of the mid portion of the body. A composite insert is disposed inside the composite laminate and made of a second fibrous composite material. The composite insert extends axially from the end portion of the body to a second location in the mid portion of the body. A head or foot of the composite guide vane envelops the end portion of the body.

摘要: A cleaning article. The cleaning article has a laminate construction. The cleaning article comprises a sheet and a hydrophilic gather strip element joined together at plural bonds. The gather strip element has plural layers superimposed upon one another, providing strips extending outwardly from the bonds. Different layers are differentially bonded, to provide a construction which allows the strips to advantageously present a dynamically changing area to the target surface during cleaning, under normal usage conditions. By changing the surface area, more liquids, and associated debris, can be cleaned from the target surface.
