    摘要: A method of operating a flexographic printing press having a printing cylinder carrying a sleeve with at least one flexographic printing forme or a flexographic printing cylinder, and an impression cylinder, includes adjusting contact pressure between the printing cylinder or the flexographic printing cylinder and the impression cylinder by motor. The adjustment is made in an automated way as a function of a dot density of the flexographic printing forme, i.e. of a location-dependent density of printing elevations on the flexographic printing forme or data computationally derived therefrom. A cost-efficient way of producing high-quality prints in an industrial flexographic printing process is thus provided. In addition, the method advantageously provides further automation of the printing process. A flexographic printing press, a flexographic printing press system, and a flexographic printing forme or sleeve for a flexographic printing forme are also provided.

The flexographic printing press includes a printing cylinder carrying a sleeve with at least one flexographic printing forme or a flexographic printing cylinder and an impression cylinder. At least one parameter of the flexographic printing press is set. The sleeve is marked with an ID, the ID is detected in a flexographic printing unit of the flexographic printing press or in the flexographic printing press. Data saved in association with the ID are transmitted to the flexographic printing unit or to the flexographic printing press, and the data are used when the parameter is set. In this manner, a cost-efficient way of producing high-quality prints in an industrial flexographic printing process is obtained. In addition, the method provides further automation of the printing process.

An image of the sleeve surface with printing forme is recorded by a camera and processed before printing, locating a register mark and/or a color measurement field in terms of x-y positions. A sensor automatically moves for recording the register mark to the y-position of the register mark before adjusting to record the register mark and/or a sensor moves for recording the color measurement field to the y-position of the color measurement field before adjusting to record the color measurement field. Cost-efficient, high-quality industrial printing and further automation is provided.

    摘要: An application unit comprises an application mechanism with an impression cylinder, a forme cylinder, and a supply roller, along with a positioning device and a magazine for supply rollers, which magazine is located below the application mechanism. The magazine has magazine receptacles for supply rollers and a movable repositioning device, by the use of which, the magazine receptacles can be placed in different magazine positions. One of the magazine positions is a change position, and when a magazine receptacle is located in that change position, a supply roller can be transferred, with respect to a positioning direction, between the magazine receptacle and a remote region of a roller positioning path that connects the magazine to the application mechanism. The positioning direction deviates no more than 45 degrees from a vertical direction. One of the magazine positions is a loading position, and when a magazine receptacle is located in the loading position, a supply roller can be transferred along a loading path with respect to a loading direction, between the magazine receptacle and a loading area. The loading direction deviates no more than 30 degrees from at least one horizontal direction.

The method includes the steps of printing images on a web with at least one first printing cylinder; accelerating at least one second printing cylinder so that the at least one second printing cylinder has a surface velocity that equals a velocity of the web; adjusting a phasing of the at least one second printing cylinder with respect to the web during the accelerating step and before the surface velocity of the at least one second printing cylinder equals the velocity of the web; moving the at least one first printing cylinder away from the web and moving the at least one second printing cylinder towards the web; and printing images on the web with the at least one second printing cylinder. A printing press configured for auto transfer is also provided.

The springs are integrated into coupling links and are connected to at least one of the two devices in such a way that, as a result of the actuation of that device, the springs are also adjusted, in order to keep the bearer ring pressure at least substantially constant.
