摘要: A liquid ejection head has a base plate with an actuator on an upper surface. Pressure chambers are formed in the actuator. A first common chamber connects to a first side of the pressure chambers, and a second common chamber connects to a second side. A nozzle plate is on an upper surface side of the actuator and has nozzles at positions corresponding to the pressure chambers. A supply hole is in the base plate and connected to the first common chamber. A discharge hole is in the base plate and connected to the second common chamber. A manifold is on a lower surface of the base plate. The manifold has a supply flow path for supplying liquid to the supply hole, a discharge flow path for receiving liquid from the discharge hole, and a temperature control flow path through which a temperature control liquid can flow.

摘要: An inkjet recording device and a method for controlling an inkjet recording device are provided. A heating device that heats the ink to be supplied to a nozzle immediately ahead of the nozzle, a thermometer that detects a temperature of the ink inside the heating device or after heating, a viscometer that detects a viscosity of the ink in a main ink container are provided. The heating device is driven using a detection value of the thermometer to control the temperature of the ink such that the viscosity reaches an ink viscosity which enables normal printing, and when the viscosity of the ink is out of a range which enables printing, the solvent or the replenishment ink is supplied to the main ink container using a detection value of the viscometer such that the viscosity reaches the range which enables normal printing.

The first communicating channel connects the first return channel to the second manifold and connects the second return channel to the second manifold.

摘要: A method for driving a liquid ejecting apparatus according to a thickening state of liquid in a nozzle determined by a thickening determination section. When the thickening state is a first state, a second flushing signal by which liquid is ejected from a nozzle is supplied a first number of times to the driving element without applying a micro vibration signal by which liquid is not ejected from a nozzle. When the thickening state is a second state in which viscosity of the liquid is higher than viscosity of the liquid in the first state, the second flushing signal that is different from a first flushing signal is supplied the first number of times after applying the micro vibration signal, and a first flushing signal by which liquid is ejected from a nozzle is supplied a second number of times to the driving element after applying the second flushing signals.

摘要: Devices, systems, and techniques are provided for improved OVJP deposition using a shutter disposed within the OVJP print head, between the print head inlet and the nozzle outlets. An OVJP print head as disclosed includes an inlet for organic material entrained in a carrier gas, a micronozzle array outlet, and a shutter disposed in the gas flow path between the inlet and the micronozzle array outlet. The shutter allows for rapid cutoff of carrier gas flow through the print head with extremely low latency.

摘要: An image forming method is provided. The method includes the steps of (a) applying an ink to a recording medium to form an image and (b) applying a pressure to the recording medium to which the ink has been applied. The ink comprises water, an organic solvent, and a colorant. When the ink is formed into an ink film, a maximum value of logarithmic damping ratio of the ink film is 1.50 or less and a time elapsed until the logarithmic damping ratio reaches the maximum value is 3,800 seconds or less, when measured by a rigid-body pendulum test at 60° C.
