    摘要: A stamp-face platemaking device transports a medium holder inserted into a plate insertion portion to a printing unit. The medium holder holds a stamp face material in a plate-like member, and has a predetermined pattern in a side end portion thereof. An optical sensor detects the top end portion of the medium holder on a sensor scanning line in the inserting direction, and the pattern start point and the pattern end point of the predetermined pattern. At least one of the horizontal and vertical sizes of the stamp face material is set based on the positions of two of the detected end portions. When the pattern end point is detected, platemaking with the stamp face material is started.

    摘要: An electronic typewriter includes a plurality of character keys, a specification selector, a printer circuit, and a memory for storing a plurality of specification tables, each having a plurality of key data. A data processing circuit detects a determined one of the plurality of specification tables in response to a selection signal from the specification selector, and reads out the corresponding key data from the specification table selected in accordance with the operation of the character keys, thereby driving the printer circuit in accordance with the key data. The specification selector includes a plurality of selection switches formed on the same keyboard together with the plurality of character keys.

    摘要: An electric typewriter of the type having individual type elements for each character has attached thereto a system for controlling the actuation of the type elements and the control functions of the typewriter by digital signals. The digital signals may emanate from a remote central processing unit or other device. The control system is an attachment to the typewriter which does not interfere with the normal manual operation of the typewriter. The control system is mounted in a housing which is placed under the typewriter in predetermined alignment with the key lever actuation means and employs an electromagnetic actuator to set a condition for a mechanical actuator for each key lever. A mechanical actuator initiates a key stroke if the electromagnetic actuator is positioned in an ON position and does not initiate a key stroke if the electromagnetic actuator is in the OFF condition. The electromagnetic actuator does not supply power for the key stroke operation but merely sets a condition for the mechanical actuator which initiates a key stroke through the typewriter key power drive to operate and print a character.

    摘要: A direct connection provides coupled movement from a keylever to an interposer of a simple key action in a typewriter. The connection includes an abutment integrally constructed on the keylever inserted within a recess on the interposer to effect movement of the interposer when the keylever is caused to move. Depression of the keylever pushes the interposer downward against a pawl that will engage a rotating power roll to cause initiation of a print movement of a typebar. The keylever while being restored by an underlying spring, will then pull the interposer upward to rest. The keylever and interposer are in planar alignment that is maintained by having the connection contained within a slot of a support member in the typewriter.
