    摘要: A security document comprises a document substrate and a pattern of repeated geometric shapes printed on the document substrate. The pattern of repeated geometric shapes comprises a first set of the geometric shapes printed using a reactive ink and a second set of the geometric shapes printed using a non-reactive ink. The geometric shapes fit closely together without substantial overlaps. In addition, a visual appearance of the reactive ink is substantially similar to a visual appearance of the non-reactive ink. The first set of geometric shapes or the second set of geometric shapes are arranged together to form one or more hidden symbols, pantographs or messages. A method of printing the security document is also disclosed.

    摘要: A method is provided for producing a luminescent security marking on a substrate of a predetermined substrate type. The security marking includes a layer sequence applied on top of the substrate in a part region and formed from a diffuse reflectance printing ink applied on top of the substrate and from a luminescent printing ink applied on top of the diffuse reflectance printing ink, or a mixture of a diffuse reflectance printing ink and a luminescent printing ink. The layer sequence or the mixture exhibit visible luminescence after excitation. The layer sequence or the mixture are printed with a chosen layer thickness onto a substrate of the predetermined substrate type, in order to obtain a luminescent security marking, the luminescent spectrum of which matches the calculated combination spectrum in the part region on illumination with the excitation light. The invention also relates to an associated luminescent security marking.

    摘要: A method for continuously or semi-continuously numbering, QR coding and/or barcoding of banknotes comprises the following steps: i) providing a substrate in form of a sheet of (security) paper or of a sheet of (security) polymer foil or a (security) composite comprising at least one security paper layer and at least one security polymer foil, ii) printing onto each of the two surfaces of the substrate sheet each one or more printing ink layers so as to generate a plurality of banknotes on the substrate sheet, wherein each printing ink layer extends over a part or the whole of the surface area of the substrate sheet, and wherein the printing ink of at least one of the printing ink layers comprises at least one pigment and/or at least one dye, which changes its color upon exposition to laser radiation, iii) curing the printing ink layers, iv) exposing the printed and cured (dried) substrate sheet to laser radiation so as to create one or more features selected from the group consisting of individual numbers each comprising at least two numerals and optionally one or more characters, of individual QR codes, of individual barcodes and arbitrary combinations of two or more of the aforementioned features on each banknote of the printed substrate sheet, wherein all of the one or more individual (serial) numbers, of the one or more QR codes and of the one or more barcodes are generated by the exposure to the laser radiation, and v) cutting the printed substrate sheet obtained in step iv) to individual banknotes.
