Abstract:
A writing implement comprises first to n-th members (n is a natural number), an inner tube and a device of mechanism for projecting or retracting a writing tip connected to the first member, and the first to n-th members are stacked around the inner tube. Each of the first to n-th members is able to transmit rotational motion to the adjacent member. With such a structure, design quality can be improved. Also, it can provide a writing implement which attracts people even when they are not writing.

To protect a writing core, a writing utensil includes: a shaft tube; a holder which is inserted through a front opening of a shaft tube and protrudes forward from a front end of the shaft tube; a writing core which is inserted through the holder while coming into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the holder and is supported by the shaft tube so as to protrude forward from a front end of the holder; and a movement direction conversion mechanism which is provided between the shaft tube and the holder and moves the holder forward relative to the shaft tube and the writing core by a force applied to the holder in the shaft tube outward radial direction.

A thermochromic writing instrument contains a thermochromic ink, wherein a writing body is accommodated in a barrel movably in a longitudinal direction, an operation portion is provided on the outer surface of the barrel, a pen tip of the writing body is constituted so as to be projectable/retractable from/into a front-end hole of the barrel by operating the operation portion, the thermochromic ink is contained in the inside of the writing body, the pen tip capable of ejecting the thermochromic ink is provided at the front end of the writing tool, and a friction portion capable of thermally changing the color of the handwriting of the thermochromic ink by the frictional heat generated when the handwriting is rubbed with the friction portion is provided on the outer surface of the barrel.

A device for packaging and dispensing a product includes a dispensing assembly provided with a holding cup for the product, a sheath in which the cup is mounted, a jacket around the sheath and including an outlet orifice, and an outer sleeve around the jacket. Guide devices are provided to bring about, during a rotation of the outer sleeve relative to said jacket, a joint axial movement of said sheath and of the holding cup relative to the jacket, followed by an axial movement of said cup relative to the guide sheath and to the jacket towards a use position of the product. A protective case in which the dispensing assembly is mounted, forms an outer cover for the assembly and includes an actuating member that is able to rotate the outer sleeve.

An instrument includes an instrument body having an opening at one end. A valve is mounted within the instrument body, the valve having an opening at one end. A lid is integrally molded with the valve and hingedly movable with respect to the valve opening. An actuating arm is operatively connected to the lid, the actuating arm transmitting forces from an instrument movement mechanism to the valve door under both tension and compression. As a result, the lid is opened and closed substantially solely by the actuating arm.

A lamp pen includes a pen body, a refill, a conductive rotating slide, a lamp, and a cartridge holding a battery. The rotating slide is electrically connected to the battery. A conductive bar on a surface of the slide abuts an end of the cartridge, which comprises a helical surface forming higher and auxiliary higher slots disposed at a highest point of the surface. A first lead of the lamp is connected to the battery, and a second lead is affixed within the higher slot. Rotating the slide causes the conductive bar to engage either the higher slot or auxiliary higher slot, pushing the cartridge downward so that the refill extends out of the pen tip. When the higher slot is engaged, the second lead of the lamp connects to the conductive bar, the electric circuit completes, and the lamp illuminates.

Upon depressing a knock rod in a state of writing of FIG. 8A, a cam protuberance 3b of a rotor turns rightward to assume a position shown in FIG. 8B. Upon removing a finger, the cam protuberance 3b turns sliding on a tilted surface, arrives at a position shown in FIG. 8C through a first vertical motion (distance d) and, further, arrives at a position shown in FIG. 8D through a second vertical motion (distance e). Here, a tilted surface of cam protuberance 3b comes in collision with a tilted surface of an inner cylinder cam 2b twice, and shocks are transmitted to a refill 7. By forming a step between the front half and the rear half of the tilted surface of the inner cylinder cam 2b, however, a distance of vertical motion of the cam protuberance 3b each time is shortened to decrease the shock of collision imparted to the refill each time.

By means of a fluid material discharge device of simple construction, a technique for fluid material discharge is provided which has few or no inadequate discharge, high productivity, and which enables easy modification and adjustment of the amount of fluid material discharge. The fluid material discharge device comprises a nozzle for discharge of fluid material and a filament-shape member inserted into the nozzle for use. The filament-shape member has a tip portion AA, which is exposed outside of the nozzle when no pressure is exerted on the tip of the filament-shape member, a portion BB which can be inserted into the nozzle, and a portion CC, on the side of the filament-shape member opposite the tip portion AA, and being bent from the portion BB. The spring structure of the filament-shape member is utilized to discharge fluid material.
