摘要： A dispensing apparatus is provided for dispensing a masking apron of the type including a sheet of apron material having a strip of adhesive tape overlapping along one side thereof. The apparatus generally includes a frame structure which supports a shaft having plural longitudinal sections mounted end to end along a vertical axis. Each longitudinal section is arranged to mount a corresponding roll of apron material thereon while remaining selectively separable from adjacent longitudinal sections to simplify the task of replacing a lowermost roll on the shaft. An elongate cutting blade is provided which extends at an angle offset from the shaft for providing a gradual cutting edge to cut the dispensed masking apron from the dispensing apparatus. A retainer member which is biased inwardly towards the shaft is provided for securing the roll of apron material between the shaft and the corresponding retainer member. The retainer member is inclined inwardly towards the shaft as it extends in a longitudinal direction of the shaft so as to automatically engage the roll of material between the retainer member and the shaft as the roll of material is loaded onto the shaft.

摘要： The applicator includes a frame assembly, a plurality of wheels attached to this frame assembly, a spindle assembly supported by the frame assembly, and a plurality of stress-relief rollers. The frame assembly includes left and right side support assemblies which include respective left and right side handle assemblies. Elongated support elements secure the left side support assembly to the right side support assembly. The wheels moveably support the frame assembly relative to the roof. The spindle assembly is supported by the left and right side support assemblies. The spindle assembly is capable of holding a spool of roofing felt. The stress-relief rollers extend between the left and right side support assemblies. When an operator desires to apply roofing felt, roofing felt is dispensed from the spool of roofing felt and is directed serially through the plurality of stress-relief rollers so as to relieve stress in the roofing felt prior to its application to the roof. An adhesive material dispenser assembly is attached to the frame assembly for dispensing adhesive material as the roofing felt is being applied. The applicator includes a final roller/segmented outfeed roller assembly operably attached to the frame assembly. When an operator desires to apply roofing felt, felt is dispensed from the spool of roofing felt and is directed under a segmented roller of the final roller/segmented outfeed roller assembly for providing enhanced urging of the roofing felt against the roof in a manner that compensates for roof surface irregularities.

摘要： A tape dispenser for applying adhesive tape to a substrate surface, the tape having a first surface with a pressure sensitive adhesive thereon and a second surface. The dispenser includes a housing suitable for holding and dispensing a roll of tape. The housing has an exterior application surface that has a tape dispensing opening therein. A plurality of cylindrical rollers are provided within the housing, each roller having an outer surface. The outer surfaces of the rollers coact with each other and the tape surfaces to retain, guide and feed the tape through the tape dispensing opening to the exterior application surface. The outer surface of at least one of the rollers protrudes through the application surface on one side of the opening enabling frictional contact of the roller surface with the substrate surface. When the application surface of the tape dispenser passes over the substrate surface in one direction the outer surface of the roller engages the substrate surface causing the roller to roll along the substrate surface and to coact and drive the outer surfaces of the other rollers. This causes the rollers to grip the surfaces of the tape and feed the tape through the opening enabling the first surface of the tape with the pressure sensitive adhesive thereon to contact the substrate surface and adhere thereto. Optionally, the outer surface of another of the rollers protrudes through the application surface on the other side of the opening to contact the second surface of the tape as it is fed through the opening. Thus when the application surface of the tape dispenser passes over the substrate surface in the one direction the outer surface of this other roller contacts the second surface of the tape to apply pressure to the tape causing the first surface of the tape with the pressure sensitive adhesive thereon to adhere to the substrate. A cutting blade is mounted to the application surface on the one side of the opening with the cutting edge facing the interior of the housing, whereby when the dispenser is moved in a direction different than the one direction, the tape is cut by the blade.
