Abstract: A hitch support and organizing apparatus includes a sheet of metal, with two portions bent inwardly at 90 degrees to a third portion therebetween. The two bent portions are substantially parallel with one another and have one or more pairs of feature openings substantially aligned between them. The third portion has feature openings that are configured to receive mounting hardware used to mount the third portion of the apparatus to a wall or support surface. Once mounted to the wall, the one or pairs of aligned features are configured to accommodate and support one ore more hitches and their respective hitch pins.

Abstract: A convertible, modular trailer includes a flatbed base including at least two wheels, a trailer tongue, and a plurality of attachment channels. The various modules include: a detachable tub component including a set of tub couplings on a bottom surface of the detachable tub component, where the set of tub couplings have the particular coupling geometry, and a detachable tower component including a horizontal bridge support, at least one upright support leg, and a tower coupling at the base of the upright support leg, where the tower coupling has the particular coupling geometry.

Abstract: Disclosed is an adjustable hitch assembly for coupling a towed vehicle to a load to be towed. The adjustable hitch assembly includes an elongated housing having an elongated interior. A threaded shaft extends within the interior of the housing. A carriage member includes a base, a coupling member and an attachment member, wherein the base is at least partially within the elongated housing and threadably received on said shaft for translation within the housing, the coupling member is attached to the base, the attachment member is selectively secured to the coupling member. A locking member may selectively attach or secure the coupling member to the attachment member. The locking member may be selectively lockable to prevent or allow said locking member from being removed from the coupling member and the attachment member.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for determining and verifying operational states of fifth wheels. Certain methods for determining the operational state of the fifth wheel may include sensing, with at least one sensor, magnetic flux caused by a magnet on a movable component movable to lock the fifth wheel to a kingpin of a towed vehicle and determining an end position of the movable component based on the magnetic flux. The end position of the movable component is then compared to a threshold position and an operational state of the fifth wheel is determined based on the comparison of the end position of the movable component to the threshold position.

Abstract: A weight distribution measurement system includes a portable measuring device configured to measure a linear distance and store a plurality of measurements. The portable measuring device is also configured to measure a first distance between a first location on a vehicle supported by an axle of the vehicle and a second location, wherein the first distance is measured prior to loading the vehicle. The portable measuring device is also configured to measure a second distance between the first location and the second location, wherein the second distance is measured after loading a vehicle. And the portable measuring device can measure a third distance between the first location and the second location, wherein the third distance is measured after loading a vehicle and after a weight distribution mechanism has been engaged, and then calculate the percent weight distribution over the axles of the vehicle using the portable measuring device and display the percent weight distribution.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, vehicles, and methods for a displaceable tow hook. In an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus includes a tow hook configured to extend from a surface of a vehicle in a first direction. The tow hook includes a receiving section configured to receive a towing line and a securing section configured to extend away from the receiving section. A positioning mount is configured to secure the tow hook to the surface of the vehicle and to release the tow hook in response to an impinging force on the tow hook in excess of a predetermined threshold. A load-bearing structure is configured to mechanically connect the securing section to a structural component of the vehicle. The tow hook and the load-bearing structure are configured to support a force having a component in the first direction that is at least equal to the towing weight of the vehicle.
