    Abstract: An automatic vehicle-door activating sensing system and a method therefor are provided. The system includes: a distance sensing antenna module and an activating antenna module for generating signals; a processor generates a first distance information, a second distance information, and a activating information according to the signals. When the first distance information is less than a distance threshold and a waveform of the activating information changes, the processor generates and transmits a ready-to-activate signal to an in-vehicle system. When the second distance information is greater than the distance threshold, the processor generates and transmits a vehicle door activating signal to the in-vehicle system. The in-vehicle system can activate the vehicle door after receiving the signals in sequence. With one radar, the invention can automatically activate the vehicle door based on a user's position and kicking behavior, thereby preventing misoperation caused by detection.

    Abstract: A system for controlling an electromechanical biasing member for moving a closure panel between an open position and a closed position relative to a motor vehicle body, the system comprising: a housing of the electromechanical biasing member comprising an inner cavity, the housing for connecting to one of the closure panel and the motor vehicle body; an electric motor positioned within the inner cavity, the electric motor comprising a motor shaft; a control unit positioned within the inner cavity and configured to drive the electric motor; and a latch control module located external to the housing; wherein the latch control module is configured as a master module and the control unit is configured as a slave module, such that the slave module follows commands from the master module.

    Abstract: A composite liftgate system with an inner panel construction having a strengthening channel structure. Structural composite reinforcements are bonded to the inner panel where additional strength is needed to meet predetermined performance requirements.     Abstract: A tailgate includes a tailgate main body including a resin inner panel and a resin outer panel forming an inner space between itself and the inner panel; a pair of reinforcement members disposed in the inner space to extend in an up-down direction along both side portions of the tailgate main body, and attached to the inner panel; a functional component disposed in a vehicle widthwise intermediate position in the inner space and attached to the inner panel; and a tether having both ends fixed to the pair of reinforcement members. The functional component has an engagement part that defines an insertion hole for the tether, and the engagement part is formed with a notch that extends from an inner peripheral edge of the insertion hole to hold the tether.
