    摘要: A marine vessel trolling and battery recharging system includes an electric generator/trolling device having a propeller. The device is electrically coupled to a battery and extendable downwardly from the marine vessel into the water. When electric power is supplied to the generator/trolling device in a first orientation, the propeller turns and serves as a trolling motor. However, when the generator/trolling device is positioned in a second orientation and the main engine of the marine vessel is powered, the propeller spins freely and serves to recharge the battery of the marine vessel.

    摘要: A marker buoy is provided for use with a flexible line tied to a weighted sinker. The buoy includes a watertight, transparent dome assembly with an interior light source positioned therein. The dome assembly resides on a buoyant housing with a bottom aperture and line guide for receiving and guiding a flexible line for winding on a reel assembly positioned within the housing. The reel assembly utilizes a spiral coil spring that is wound as the line unwinds from the spool and acts to return excess line to the spool as the sinker attached to the line comes to rest on its intended submerged surface. In one embodiment a reduction gear is provided to increase the number of spool turns available before the spring winds completely.

    摘要: A system for propelling and steering a watercraft is provided that includes a pair of electric motor propulsion units provided aft of a transverse centerline of the watercraft hull. A rudder is provided forward of the transverse centerline. The propulsion units may be driven to provide resultant thrust to navigate the watercraft in desired directions, automatically or in response to operator command inputs. The rudder, which may be extendable and retractable, may also be angularly positionable. Where angular positioning is provided, the orientation of the rudder may also be controlled in cooperation with the propulsion units to provide reactive forces by impingement of the rudder against the water, thereby enhancing the steering offered by the propulsion units.

    摘要: In the external electric drive propulsion module arrangement described in the specification, two parallel propulsion units are mounted in a housing affixed beneath the stern of a ship and having a surface contour conforming to the contour of the adjacent surface portions of the ship's hull. Each propulsion unit is disposed substantially horizontally to provide maximum propulsion efficiency and has a rotating blade section for driving water rearwardly from an inlet and a fixed blade section following the rotating blade section. The inlet receives water from a wraparound array of screened intake openings near the forward end of the module housing which draws in the surface boundary layer of the ship's hull. In addition, vertical vanes are affixed to the stern of the ship to straighten the flow of water from the propulsion units.

The electric motor is of the switched reluctance type which includes a stator, formed of a plurality of windings, and a rotor having a plurality of poles about the circumference of the rotor. The stator windings are divided into a plurality of phases which are sequentially energized by electric current. A controller is coupled to the electric motor to determine the order and timing of phase energization. Proper sequencing of the phase energization creates a dynamic magnetic field inducing the rotor to rotate accordingly.

A motor control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle with an engine for outputting driving force of the vehicle, a motor for generating driving force for assisting the output from the engine and a battery for supplying power to the motor and for storing electric energy regenerated by the motor acting as a generator when the driving force is not required, is provided with: a detector for detecting supplied power to the motor or supplied current to the motor; a feedback controller for performing feedback control to keep the supplied power or the supplied current at a target value based on the detection result from the detector; an abnormality detector for detecting an abnormality in the detector; and an abnormality processing device for fixing supplied power or supplied current to the motor to a predetermined value by reducing a gain in the feedback control or stopping the feedback control until a predetermined time elapses since detection of an abnormality in the detector, and stopping controlling the motor after the predetermined time elapses since detection of the abnormality.
