摘要: A seat belt retractor includes a housing including a pair of side walls facing each other, a winding drum configured to wind up a webbing, a locking base being prevented from being rotated in the pull-out direction, in an emergency of a vehicle, an impact energy absorbing member connecting the winding drum and the locking base so as to be integrally rotatable in a normal state, an impact energy absorbing wire housed in a slot provided in the winding drum so as to form an opening in the first end surface of the winding drum, a ring provided integrally with or separately from the locking base, and a stopper member being configured to define an allowable amount of relative rotation between the winding drum and the locking base in a case where the impact energy absorbing member absorbs the impact energy.

摘要: A self-regulating damper unit comprising a cylinder having a first working chamber and a second working chamber, a piston, a piston rod, and a through-hole between the first working chamber and the second working chamber. The damper unit also comprises a shiftable weight which modifies a passage cross-section of the through-hole. The shiftable weight is movably mounted such that retardation of the piston causes enlargement of the passage cross-section. A seat belt unit comprises a seat belt and the damper unit.

摘要: A spool 20 and a locking base 40 are connected through a torsion bar 70. A stop gear 82 and a positioning member 86 are engaged through threads with the male thread 42c of a locking base 40 so as to be separated from each other a predetermined distance. The locking base 40 and the torsion bar 70 are mounted to the spool 20 while the distance of separation between the stop gear 82 and the positioning member 86 is accurately set to a specified distance. When the tension of webbing increases due to the movement of a vehicle occupant in a vehicle collision and provides the torsion bar 70 with EA rotation while twisting the torsion bar 70, the stop gear 82 advances toward the positioning member 86 and comes into contact therewith.

摘要: A seatbelt webbing includes an auxetic portion elongated along an axis. The auxetic portion includes a plurality of segments rotatably connected to each other at hinges. The hinges are spaced along the axis and are transverse to the axis. The auxetic portion includes a plurality of strands. Each strand is embedded in at least two of the hinges. When tensile force above a predetermined level is applied to the auxetic portion by a vehicle occupant, e.g., the chest of the vehicle occupant, the auxetic portion both stretches along the axis and widens transverse to the axis, i.e., has a negative Poisson ratio.

摘要: A seat belt device for a vehicle seat, having a seat belt, the belt tongue of which in an engaged state is releasably connected to a seat-side belt buckle. The belt buckle is guided via at least one wire rope through a sleeve-like deflection element, which defines the course of the wire rope between its connection point on the seat side and its connection point on the belt buckle side. The sleeve-like deflection element has a predetermined deformation point, at which the deflection element is deformed in the event of a head-on collision, more specifically with the belt buckle being displaced from its use position into a crash position in which the tilt or twist moments acting on the belt buckle are reduced.
