摘要: In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a system includes a wiper arm configured to sweep along a sweep zone defined between a start position and an end sweep position, a wiper drive shaft operatively connected at a proximal end to the wiper arm to drive the wiper arm between the start position and the end sweep position, a tracer operatively connected to a distal end of the wiper drive shaft configured to mimic movement of the wiper arm, and one or more position indicators disposed proximate a distal end of the tracer corresponding to at least the start position and the end sweep position, where the distal end of the tracer configured interact with the one or more limiters during operation of the wiper arm.

摘要: An automatic rain response system includes microphones of a vehicle, windshield wipers, and a controller. The microphones generate acoustic signals in response to rain. The controller is configured to receive a local weather condition, extract acoustic features from the acoustic signals, form feature vectors in response to the acoustic features and the local weather condition, classify the feature vectors to determine a current class among multiple classes, activate the windshield the wipers at a high speed in response to the current class being a heavy rain on a windshield class, activate the windshield wipers at a medium speed in response to the current class being a freezing rain on the windshield class, activate the windshield wipers at a low speed in response to the current class being a light rain on the windshield class, and deactivate the windshield wipers in response to the current class being a no rain class.

摘要: A mounting bracket is fastened to a roof header panel. The mounting bracket has an extending portion extended to a position facing a windshield. A rain sensor is engaged with the extending portion so that the rain sensor can move back and forth with respect to the windshield. A coil spring is interposed between the extending portion and the rain sensor, and a light emitting/receiving surface of the rain sensor is pushed toward the inner surface of the windshield through a silicone sheet by a biasing force from the coil spring. Since there is no need to use adhesion as a means of supporting the rain sensor, there is no need to control or inspect the quality of the adhesion.

摘要: A foreign object detecting system and a method are provided. A control circuit controls a light transmitter and a light receiver. The light transmitter is disposed adjacent to a detected object and emits a light signal toward the detected object. The light receiver is disposed adjacent to the detected object in a path along which the light signal reflected by the detected object travels. The light receiver receives the light signal reflected to the light receiver. In a pre-operation, the control circuit defines the light signal received by the light receiver when the foreign object is not on the detected object as a first reflected light signal. In a detection operation, the control circuit determines that a difference exists between the light signal currently received by the light receiver and the first reflected light signal, the control circuit determines that the foreign object is on the detected object.
